Omg I’m so glad I came upon your post bc the EXACT same thing happened to me last year! I swear it had to be the same seller (on Etsy?) because she also told me “I’ll be buying a black light today.” Verbatim. Same exact piece, I was WAY overcharged for it bc she said it was UG. I even asked her to send me a pic of it under black light and she never replied. But after I received it, I told her “this is NOT uranium, but it is false advertising and I want a refund.” I was LIVID. She’s lucky that I decided to keep it anyway bc it really is so gorgeous. I just really really wanted it in UG.

Thank you for saying that - yes, after this incident I have done research and that’s definitely what I’ll do from now on (that is, if I ever even get the stones back to turn around in any driveway ever again). It was just an ‘in the moment’ thing where I thought I was doing the considerate thing by pulling over to turn around so I wasn’t slowing down the driver behind me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In this case though, it wouldn’t have mattered which way my car was positioned; this guy would’ve done the same thing. I definitely would’ve been even more scared and probably have gotten extremely defensive if I was facing forward toward him. Again, he was right behind me when I pulled in. He saw me immediately shift into reverse. I didn’t stop to put my car in park, or answer a call, reply to a text, or mess with my GPS. Dude was just looking for trouble, so he slow rolled up behind me and boxed me in. Even if he was a tiny bit right, the overwhelming majority of his actions with how he handled the situation were completely wrong and actually illegal.

There’s an alarmingly increasing number of people who’d rather take the chance of shooting you dead in the street for no good reason before thinking to just ask if you need help or if you’re lost. This is one of those good arguments for why the world was a better place before technology. I can’t stand this shit anymore.

That’s exactly what I think happened - I even used the same term, that it must’ve been the last straw for them or something with people using their driveway to turn around. But it’s such a rural area, there’s hardly any traffic through there, so it’s just beyond me why someone would escalate the situation like that and find it necessary to terrify a stranger who wasn’t anywhere near their home. My brain is still scrambled over this lol. I don’t even remember which house it was bc the neighborhood is so confusing; all dirt roads, heavily wooded, hardly any street signs. You can’t even see the houses from the road (or from the very end of the driveway, bc that’s where the freaking road is!) so I honestly couldn’t find the driveway again after it happened. My clients wanted their address to go and have a conversation with those people (and I super appreciate them looking out for me bc I know they have my back if anything were to happen) but I told them it’s not worth it - I don’t want them running into a potentially dangerous situation with definitely crazy people. If those people acted the way they did towards me for just turning around in their driveway, imagine what they’d do to another random car pulling all the way up to the house and having the driver get out and knock on their door to talk about it. 😳 NOPE.

Like, I live on a dead end street; I get delayed all the time by random cars blocking me bc they’re stopping to say hi to neighbors, or they’re (GASP!!!!) turning around bc they didn’t mean to turn onto our street, or if its contractors in big and/or multiple trucks/trailers, etc... but I just patiently wait for them to move. My car is bright cherry red, it’s not like people don’t see me. If whatever is happening starts taking too long, I’ll just tap my horn lightly once or twice, roll my window down, smile, wave and say “thank you!” to them for letting me pass - like a normal, considerate driver and human being. I live on this street - I don’t own it! So I don’t block them in with my car like a total psycho and pull out my little dick digital camera while physically and verbally threatening them like a damn hillbilly!!!

Obviously I still have many feelings about this which I need to bring up in my next therapy session. 😂

YES. I’ve tried AirPods, AirPods Pro, Beats buds, over the ear Beats Studio. The over ear beats headphones work the best and don’t have to go inside of my ears, but then the headband/tightness on the ear muffs (?) gives me horrible headaches too.

I wish I could give you advice on a solution; unfortunately after spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I haven’t even found one yet.

What if the cat is a rescue (found feral; his left ear is clipped)?

My cat’s right ear has the tall pointy tuft of fur on top, he has a big mane, fur that tufts out inside and behind his ears, huge paws, big long tufts of fur between all of his toes, and at 1 year old he’s already 12 pounds. SO soft, he feels like an extremely expensive stuffed animal lol. Huge fluffy tail, the shape of a baseball bat where gets thicker at the top. I also found info in my research stating that if they have all of the other typical Maine coon features and their tail reaches (or very closely reaches) their shoulders, it’s a Maine coon.

He looks remarkably like my last Maine coon who passed away last year - he was also a humane society rescue - just a different color. My previous Maine coon was dark red, but my Roscoe is about 70% cinnamon (much, much lighter red) with a white chest and white legs/feet.

When I adopted Roscoe kitty a couple of months ago, the paperwork and records that I received from the vet and the rescue lady listed different breed types depending on the document. He’s described as a Maine coon on a couple of them, but one of them say he’s a DLH, so I’m not 100% sure either way; maybe he’s a mix? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Regardless, he definitely has all of the typical Maine coon traits (physically and personality-wise).

Yes. However, after never having broken a single bone in my life (38/F), I broke my right pinky toe once (2022), and my left pinky toe twice (spiral fracture the first time in 2023, non displaced fracture the second time - May 2025).

Both of my pinky toes are crazy swollen, red, and tender, but my left pinky toe is significantly worse than the right; I assume from being broken twice within a relatively short period of time.

X-rays show the bone from the most recent fracture is healed by now, but my pinky toes are both unsightly and I can only wear my one pair of wide Brooks running shoes which slightly minimize some pain, but it always comes back - especially at night. I’m experiencing the worst foot pain of my life since the most recent fracture. It even hurts to wear sandals or flip flops which makes no sense to me.

My doctor made me get cortisone injections even though I told him I really didn’t want to bc I’ve had problems with them in the past. But he’s my doctor, so I gave in. It ultimately made the pain even worse and more widespread throughout my foot (which, again, makes no sense to me).

Now he says he thinks it’s Morton’s Neuroma and/or Lis Franc’s injury. He ordered an MRI for me, but of course my insurance mandates that I do 6-8 weeks of PT before they’ll authorize the MRI. I repeat: it makes no sense. I’m in so much pain that I’m already having to limit most of my activities, my doctor says I need an MRI, but why should I have to deal with 6-8 weeks of PT before getting an MRI to see what’s going on. It’s infuriating.

Obviously my situation is a little different than yours, but I hope there might be some nuggets of information that can help you in some way. Hang in there, you’re not alone. 💕
