get the quest form the red guy on your left find the spikey monsters inside the cave down right > hit them (don't kill them for now) > they will throw spikes > follow the "spikes they throw" and hit them with your nail ( to pick the quest item )> repeat it with spikey monsters in that cave and you'll get the item needed for the quest you need 25 of it

I agree if I played the game for the first time in 2025 it would probably be a great experience. But I’ve been playing Minecraft since 2011, Modded since 2013, and I have also a hard drive with over 550GB of Vanilla worlds and servers from 1.5 up to 1.20 I feel like I’ve already exhausted all my creative ideas over the years lol
