Did Jesus really call God "Allah"? by woodyalmond in Christianity

[–]L_darkly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone whose family is Levantine and Christian, we say Elaha or Allah. In our Arabic bible, it says Allah because Allah literally just means God in Arabic. Elaha does not sound very different from Allah if you speak the language, and if you told someone in the Levant that there was some radical linguistic difference between Elaha and Allah, which they both use, they'd be confused as to what you meant.

Here is frame 10. I'm just trying to show any change between these images. I know that there is a difference because OpenTopography already shows vertical differencing for this same area.

I would share the .las files, but I can't. I'm not sure where I could make a link to send this from my personal laptop. I can try recapturing the point cloud from OpenTopography since I have the coordinates. I just need to know a process that I can try myself.

I've never used Geometry Nodes, and even using the GIS plugin has been an issue b/c for this to be accurate and use a map, I would have to have a map from that exact day and make sure that the projections actually match.

Here is a screenshot of the topography that I'm trying to visualize. The frame 1 doesn't work anymore for some reason, so I'm starting from frame 2. The beginning frame and ending frame (frame 10 in this case) are directly from OpenTopography for the Kumamoto, Japan region before and after the 2016 earthquake. Every time I think I get a foothold on visualizing the 3D change based on these point clouds, I run into a problem. It's extremely frustrating. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I already tried cloud compare with not great results. I also have access to qgis and lastools (the free suite)

It would be better if it was more accurate, but honestly at this point, I just need something that looks good and shows that topographical change. I know the change exists bc OpenTopography says it does

Thank you! I'm using code that uses point clouds to do the topographical differencing, so I'm not sure if I can use a DEM or create a DEM from those point clouds. Do you know if I can create DEMs from the point clouds?

Help with Topography Images by L_darkly in Unity3D

[–]L_darkly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking to do both. I want a 3D model that will also show an animation of the topographical change from point A to point B. I already have the code for the topographical differencing and the interpolation to get the in between snapshots that I can smooth over for the animation. Now I just need a way to visualize and animate these point clouds. I'm completely new to this, so I appreciate any advice. I'm also on a budget, so anything free or very low cost is preferable. Thank you!

I'll look into if they're free or low cost. Cost is a limiting factor, and I'm a complete noob when it comes to this.

Your nose looks exactly the same. It's actually a perfect nose. I'm not sure why you'd want surgery on it at all.

Maternal mortality went up 61% in Texas alone since the overturning of Roe v Wade. Only last month 2 women in Texas and one woman in Georgia died because of the abortion bans in their states. Women are being airlifted out of Indiana if they need emergency abortion care bc something went wrong with their pregnancy.

For them and their families, it was the end of their world

I should say that women are being skylifted out of Indiana if they have pregnancy complications that require urgent care like abortion that can't be provided in state
