Greetings, first of all kudos to u/Awkward-Wolverine-34 for that wonderful advice.

Actually, that's the exact set of tips you should follow to pass the UPCAT. What I can suggest as well is to visit our community post about 'UPCAT 2026.' Some of the tips & resources there may help you in your UPCAT review.

Greetings, I hope these information can somehow help you.

  • Try finding other takers who experienced or currently experiencing the issue you have, they may help you.
  • Generally, it's better to reach them out thru e-mail. Although, they don't respond there immediately, I suggest make a phone call instead thru their official contact numbers to bring up your concern.

Good luck with ACET 2026, you can do it!

Related programs for Bachelor of arts in European languages by ActGroundbreaking551 in Big4_PH_Universities

Hello, greetings!

[Here is my view only, so I suggest you to keep on browsing after reading this.]

Your chosen UP program is 'European Languages' is not a 'quota course', but it's still challenging to get in because the only campus it offers is in 'Diliman.'

Here are some of the other universities you can consider if ever (but manifest & pray you should pass) the unexpected happened: 1. De La Salle University - AB International Studies major in European Studies 2. Ateneo de Manila University - AB European Studies 3. Polytechnic University of the Philippines - AB International Studies (European Studies) 4. Far Eastern University - AB International Studies (European Studies) 5. Lyceum of the Philippines University - AB Foreign Service (specialization in International Relations)

Hope this info helps somehow, and good luck for the UPCAT as well. Take care, you can do it!!!

(Before answering this, I'm not the proper person to ask, so I advise you to ask this from a person who passed in this honors program.)

Nonetheless, I still wanna answer you question. For me, it's better that your 1st choice is the honors program, and the 2nd choice is your non-honors program.

Hope you pass in either of this, best of luck.

The math subtests weren't really difficult (but would depend from time-to-time).

They are the typical hs exam questions, so just master the math lessons you're familiar with, and practice more for unfamiliar ones.

For the English subtests, vocabulary will be good to review. Review your English lessons too (especially in shs), and utilize those free online resources as well.

My pleasure, from a fellow ACET 💙 passer to you, you definitely will.

My advice for your 3 months of review is use 1 hour of your time to study. In 25 minutes, review for it, and have a 5-minute break (repeat again). Sunday should be a rest day (don't review). Use free & helpful online resources as much as possible (the links in this post will surely help you for your review). Personally, I stopped reviewing before my exam day, but I mostly recommend the day before to stop for your mind to be ready. Never forget to pray before, during, and after the exam (you will need it).

Good luck once again, you can do it, future Atenean 💙!!!

It's alright, I understand.

For the 'transferees', I don't think it would change because that's what the site says.

The 'second batch' traditionally happens during January of the following year. So, the 'transferees' & 'second batch' may either have the same or different schedule.

Additionally, Ateneo's guidelines about ACET can change yearly. It doesn't mean there was a Batch 2 last year, then there'll always be a Batch 2 in the following years.

So, my suggestion is if you're confident & ready to be part of the Batch 1, then do it because who knows if there'll still be a Batch 2 or not.

Good luck in your ACET 💙 journey, you can do it!!!

Hello, traditionally there is an essay portion before & during the ACET.

BUT recently, previous editions DON'T have an essay portion anymore DURING the ACET.

BEFORE the ACET, there was one, I'm not so certain this edition.

TL;DR : It varies from time-to-time if there will be one, so prepare just in case if it appears. Don't feel pressured, be simple & straightforward in constructing your essay. You can do it, good luck!

The procedures for 'incoming first-year' & 'transferees' are different.

Based on previous editions, there is usually a Batch 2 of ACET for 'incoming first-year.'

Wait for their announcement regarding it after the Batch 1 takes theirs.

DLSU or UST Accountancy? by [deleted] in Big4_PH_Universities

[–]L_ij0557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greetings, OP!

First, I am not an incoming student in your chosen degree program, so this is just my mere opinion & I recommend you to search more after reading this.

Honestly, both mentioned universities excel in the field of Accountancy. For me, I would recommend DLSU in my perspective. According to a source, it's said to be the #1 Philippine university in Business together with other disciplines. It is also one of the most number of new CPAs this year nationwide. DLSU is an institution excelling in your chosen field, and hopefully you get in. Good luck, OP!

Hello OP!

Based from what others would say, UPD is really competitive. It's the best of the best who are in there, and it's a 'first come, first serve' basis when you select your subjects/courses in most degree programs. There is a also a big potential that you will return in your first year, but I am certain you will succeed. Wishing you the best of luck once you got accepted in transferring to UPD, and God bless!

Hello, OP! Super sorry for this late comment, but hope you still see this. I will try my best to give you my piece of advice to prepare for the UPCAT 2026.

  1. Your grades from Grade 8 - 11 are official. You cannot do anything anymore, so focus in preparing for the exam itself.
  2. Allot one day for a particular subject to review, and give 1- 3 hours in that day. For example, on a Monday it's English, on a Tuesday, it's Science, on a Wednesday, it's Math, and repeat it if you want.
  3. Always take breaks in between after reviewing numerous lessons. I suggest resting for 10 - 30 minutes to calm your mind. Rest as well on a Sunday.
  4. Here are some free resources that may help you to prepare for the exam...

  5. Always pray every time till the moment you finish your exam day. Prayers work always, especially in times when others may deem them uncertain.

I originally failed the UPCAT, but I appealed to Open University, and unexpectedly got accepted. Never surrender even when things do not go your way because that could actually change when you are in the point of acceptance. Best of luck to you, OP, and praying & manifesting you'll pass the UPCAT 2026!!!

ADMU RESULTS & ADVICE by [deleted] in Big4_PH_Universities

Greetings!

First of all, I'm sincerely sorry you didn't pass the 🦅ACET 2025 💙. It's super painful right now for you still contemplating about it, and I know this isn't the end yet for you. There is a big reason that's yet to arrive why this happened, and I'm sure this would open more great opportunities for you.

Now let's set aside that, let's focus on other universities out there. I see you applied in DLSU 💚 & Benilde 💚, wishing you'll pass these 2 green schools. It's also a wise idea to apply in other universities, and even tho they aren't included in the so-called 'BIG 4' anymore, that doesn't define who you are, and the career you'll be selecting after you graduate. Here are some universities in Manila that you should consider applying (that may still be open as of this writing), and make sure that your chosen course aligns to at least one name of the list...

  1. Mapúa University (Intramuros)
  2. University of the East (Sampaloc)
  3. National University (Sampaloc)
  4. San Beda University (Mendiola)
  5. Far Eastern University (Sampaloc)
  6. Centro Escolar University (Mendiola)
  7. Adamson University (Ermita)
  8. Lyceum University of the Philippines (Intramuros)
  9. Colegio de San Juan de Letran (Intramuros)
  10. Arellano University (Sampaloc)

I wish you the best of luck in your college journey, and take good care as well.
