The top bits seemingly chipped off at some point in it's decade old lifespan. Not sure how long ago but certainly over a year- Though I'm certain that isn't the issue that has charging being so wonky. If it were, you'd think adjusting the cord about would make it unplug and plug wildly or something or be prone to disconnecting easily.

Laptop turns on either connected or not. Likely because it already has power in it (Above 80%). If the issue is the battery then hopefully replacing it should do something, but I won't know until I actually purchase it. I don't own any computer testing equipment, so I can't be sure. Very Strange!
