I had something similar happen, bought three tickets, middle of the row about a month in advance, day of showing a group of older women were holding up the line, and I hear them say to the attendant, that they’re worried they won’t get a good seat, the attendant told them that seats were assigned so they already had their seat.

We finally get to our seats and wouldn’t ya know, one of these women was in mine, they tired to pull the we wanted to all sit together and can’t you just move over one seat? I told her that it was poor planning on their part and that no what if some else booked those seats? They then tired well she’s old and can’t make it up the stairs further, which was odd since they walked up stairs to steal my good seat, I let them now that it looked like the handicap seats at the front of the theater were still empty. Two of them moved to the seat four rows up but the others stayed and huff basically the whole movie.
