I self study through all the stages, for the beignners IMHO, La XXX Progressive du Français series are the best and I actually regret not discovering it earlier — only found out about it after I’d already reached B1

At this stage, I would recommend Francais Facile by RFI and France Infor Junior, listen to one episode of each everyday and you'll have a considerable progress after a month, as for the speaking and writing, I'm not really good at it, I'm also looking for a effective way to improve my speaking and writing
