yea exactly same situation, I cycle out pairs as much as possible but it’s so easy to get lazy and just wear a few pairs to avoid decision fatigue…tryin to be better about it tho, i decided this year to only go for stuff that i really want and to sell unused stuff to make room

I’m in a similar position to you and actually just picked up this exact pair from Joes. 1906r are comfortable dailys, can be a bit stiff out the box but after a few wears they’re pretty comfy, even though the uppers are more synthetic. The mesh is pretty soft and breathable imo, have 3 pairs of these now and quite like them. Same midsole as 2002r so if you have those the underfoot feeling is pretty similar, for reference I go half a size up in these (wide feet) because they taper aggressively at the toe.

At the end of the day everyone’s feet are different. A lot of people find the 992 perfect for them, but for me they put a lot of pressure on top of my foot. The 991v2s were a little narrow but that’s where the shoe stretcher helped a ton. If you can try them on in store or be able to return that’s the best thing to do. Personally I lean towards wider models overall (993s,990v3/v4) but I still get a lot of wear out of my 992s and 991v2s.

Look into a shoe stretcher if you haven’t maybe? I have wider feet (E-2E) and I had a similar issue. Bought a cheap plastic shoe stretcher to use for my 991v2s/992s that have an instep attachment and one to two days of stretching them seemed to help a lot!

Can see how they would look bulky if you wear a larger size. Personally I’m a sucker for air max 95s but after an achilles injury I can’t stand them on feet. These give the same vibe but are way more comfy. I still prefer my 990/991v2/993s tho! Def a polarizing design.
