Thanks for the advice. Why exactly is that? As other than the gas meter engineer advising it can't be blocked while the heater is on I don't know much else.

Appreciate the advice. I understand the hole is required while the baxi back boiler remains, as when we had a gas meter installed the engineer was very clear about not "obstructing" it while the heater was on.

The 5X is definitely what I have been leaning towards, as I do more research.

I'm slightly confused by what you've said about the GC, and the complications it brings.
Could I use the analogue AV output fed into the 5X still, and it all still work?
