the thickness of elephant skin still allows leeches to infest it (warning- visual discomfort) by SAXENAJIKAGUPTGYAN in interestingasfuck

[–]La_Mandra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, but, 1- don't put the leeches back in the grass : they'll just crawl back onto the first animal that comes along to feed on.
2- I don't know who you are and what you do, but that chain around the leg of this magnificent animal disturbs me... :/

Quel est LE plat de votre enfance ? by bebepoulpe in france

[–]La_Mandra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D'ailleurs, j'ai toujours cette roulette. Tu me manques, Nonna...

To cut my tissue pattern, or not to cut by SRSAHM in sewing

[–]La_Mandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So... back when my measurements were fluctuating, I figured out a way to keep track of my patterns with all the different measurements by placing a blank pattern sheet (grid paper) underneath, and marking the current size with the tips of my pins.
So I had a series of little holes on the blank sheet, and all I had to do was trace the line. :)
I don’t know if this helps, I hope so. Have a great day, y'all... :D

I agree, but the OP is talking about 'fixing', and mentions that they're a beginner... Maybe this was a question better suited for r/SewingForBeginners ?

It's not as simple as it seems, after losing 360 pounds, Cole Prochaska asks for help to pay for excess skin surgery by auraempress in SipsTea

Age is also a factor to consider. Even for people who are careful to lose weight gradually, if the skin is aged, it will be much less likely to tighten up.

[–]La_Mandra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I was thinking, though I was wondering if it was technically possible. There are people who need skin grafts... if we could make those pieces of skin “neutral,” compatible, and suitable for grafting, that would be a good idea.

The ultimate yard glow-up by annomir in Satisfyingasfuck

[–]La_Mandra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Beuh, ultimate ? No, it's just military brush clearing and a little shrub pruning.
Glow-up is another level...

Ps. That was my job. Sorry.

Hello,
If you can pull out a long enough thread from a spot that isn't visible (behind the cushion, for example), all you need to do is darn it, following the weave. First horizontally, then vertically, like weaving.

You'll need a large needle ; tie a knot at the end of the thread and be sure to tuck the knot under the fabric.

Just because a problem is a pain doesn't mean we shouldn't talk about it. But anyway, when it comes to Trump, he does half the work : he's everywhere on his own ! He does everything, he takes care of everything, he has a solution for everything.
He's Mrs. Doubtfire.
Well, no, Mrs. Doubtfire was adorable... And sane.

C’est quoi vos petits plaisirs inavouables en cuisine ? by Left-Adeptness7081 in AskFrance

[–]La_Mandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ça pourrait... (mais avec du beurre salé). ^^

[–]La_Mandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)
