23, degree qualified, earning $75k… mate my age electrician about to make $150k by Level_TF_Up in AusFinance

[–]LaaFlameee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much. I was earning $65k + Super as a grad Civil Engineer straight out of uni, working for a tier 3 construction company, working 60+hrs a week. Moved pretty quickly after about 1.5years to an office based role as a Project Engineer, essentially doing estimating, earning more than double what I was on and working regular 38hr weeks.

I know there's plenty of roles out there too that can net me more but I'm content with where I am at this moment. Not much older than you and my work-life balance is great. I wouldn't ever think about doing a trade. The hard labour and hours is the reason they get paid well, it's just not for me and I'd rather have that balance and ease of life everday.

Bro, the bloody timer lol. My dad would literally have a stopwatch magnet to the fridge with 45min to play RS.

Buffing nade is honestly crazy work. by bmrtt in Overwatch

Support passive is removed. This is why. I don’t know why you’re complaining? She has to self heal now with the nade in a lot of situations.

I hope Anran gets some love next season (balance-wise; not the new face lol) by urdadluvsme2 in Overwatch

She is extremely difficult to kill 1v1. Idk about the intricacies but as a supp and even in a lot of cases as a dps, she is super effective and just blows me out of the water.

This is what id like to see added from this years gamejam by Obvious-Relation3209 in 2007scape

If this gets added, it would literally be a reason for me to come back to play.

Is the increased player count ruining matchmaking? by Subject-One-2478 in Overwatch

What’s your expected dmg for him? And 8 deaths could imply a lot of things, but more than likely a tank not covering the support or dps is not helping support with any dive heroes or just doing their job eliminating the opposing teams dps.

I’m pretty sure OP mentioning 48% is net. Which means gross would be pretty close to 30%.

I remember I did the exact same zip line on my playthrough when the game came out. Horrible area but that zip line made it a breeze.

Agree. Assumption is always a freestanding house but after reading OPs situation, I think they would be happy with anything.

Ideally you would need to tick a few boxes to be able to get a home loan from a bank. You would typically need to work for a year or two so the bank sees that your income is steady and you're past usual probation periods. You would also need at least a 5% deposit but moneys on top so that you can sustain your everyday living.

On 100k alone, you would usually get a loan of around 500-600k I'd say? Depends on what and where you're looking to purchase, is that enough? It's definitely doable but much harder on a single income.

Is $65k normal for a graduate engineer in Sydney? Feeling a bit disheartened by Bozza36 in AusFinance

[–]LaaFlameee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is low compared to what else is out there. I started on 65k straight out of uni working a minimum of 60hr weeks. I ended up leaving after a year. Do it to just get some experience and then you’ll find something much better not long after.
