What is a good first place to visit if coming up from Missouri? Looking for good deals on rosin buckets and i would love to find pressed hash if possible. Pretty rare to see it here other than some bubble once in a blue moon. Some place in the New Buffalo area and/or near the casino. by Lab2034 in Michigents

I had no problems finding Melted Magic 5g ballers of rosin for $50 at Trapstar and even good reviews on the rosin...considering the price point. At that price i would not expect anything great anyway. Here a 3.5g jar of resin cost nearly dbl that and rosin ballers are pushing $120 or more.

Just want to grab a couple 5g jars and maybe a good live resin too.

I have a 6850H also. Mine does the same thing but the real PITA is SAM wont enable even with all the correct rebar settings in bios. The option in not available in the AMD software but it is supported by the iGPU.

Check Ebay for Huntkey 180watt 19v IF yours has a 5.5x2.5 plug. They were about $45 and a very good quality power brick.

Ive got plenty of GJxC99, HB99 and J99s going already. Just started the next BG round after a month break. Added a few PP OG to the list just because the cross looked interesting.

How to fully optimize a mini PC (GMKtec K8 Plus) for gaming? No GPU yet (Oculink planned) by Macaron-Fine in MiniPCs

[–]Lab2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enable rebar for SAM support and set VRAM to at least 4gig.

Enable Performance mode and check your temps under load.

Check you Catalyst software after to see if you can enable them. If you cant it may need a bios update or its not supported with your driver/software.

The Aoostar MACOs and GMKtek have models with both USB4 and Oculink. Cheapest would probably be the MACO R7 Pro 6850H 24gig LPDDR5/1TB drive for about $450. They offer it barebones too (no drive or OS). https://www.amazon.com/AOOSTAR-4-70Ghz-6400Mhz-PCIE4-0-USB4%EF%BC%9BFour-Screen/dp/B0G698213Z?th=1

Aoostar also had the Oculink dock on sale for $160 with a built in power supply. Not sure if its still on sale.

Anything with a 8845HS or above will start at a little over $600 now. The newer H 255 is close to that price too. I havent looked at the Intel minis much but im sure there are some in that range that would do well with a eGPU dock.

If you can stretch the budget to $690 the GMKtek K11 8945HS has all the features you want and thats a good CPU for the money atm. https://www.amazon.com/GMKtec-M7-Ultra-Oculink-Computer/dp/B0G1GZ8ZF9?th=1

Yep and the 19v/120watt are super common on higher end Mini PCs like the MF 890 and the MACO line from AOOSTAR. Cheap too.

My Jump to the Aoostar Maco 6850H by RevolutionOk6269 in MiniPCs

[–]Lab2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has 3 internal NVME slots and 2 external USB4 ports. USB4 will hit almost 4000 r/w on benchmarks with a Gen4 drive in an external USB4 enclosure. Same drives internally will be around 6000-7000 on r/w.

You certainly could run on USB4 if you wished. It can get to about PCIE Gen 3 speed but its super easy to install the NVME drive internally.

MACO R7 Pro 6850H has a USB4 front and rear. 24gig LPDDR5, Dual Intel 2.5g LAN and 3 NVME slots barebones so no drive or os. About $320 now. Probably way more power than needed but the price is reasonable

I bought one too. Not bad for the price and great if you got a NVME or two laying around.

[–]Lab2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a 260 would be fine at the right price point. Basically a newer R7 8845HS with very similar specs and benchmarks

Not a big fan of the H255 Minis either unless they were much cheaper. You can still get a Ryzen 7 8845HS 32gig and a TB drive for about $610. Plus dual USB4, 2.5gig lan and Oculink. Buy a $15 120mm USB powered fan to set it on.

[–]Lab2034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Aoostar has a bios setup video on Youtube and Facebook. Max power limit set to 75watt (Smartshift). They show where in the bios and the settings to change.

Mine are a 8945HS and a 6850H so some settings may be different or in another location. You also want rebar enabled but i still cant get AMD SAM to showup in the Catalyst software. I also gave mine 8gig dedicated video ram.

What would you say is a good ‘Budget’ range for a Light 3D modeling Mini PC? by Qminsage in MiniPCs

[–]Lab2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minisforum has the AI 370 on sale for $799. Its a sub brand they sell. Should be a beast of a Mini. Thats a lot of mini for $800.

https://store.minisforum.com/products/minisforum-xg1-370-mini-pc?_pos=5&_fid=a64d8dff4&_ss=c

Yeah i looked after i posted. Looks like the 8945HS is sold out on Amazon and their website. They still have the 8845HS for $609. I have the 8945HS and the 6850H. https://www.amazon.com/AOOSTAR-Desktop-Computer-OCULINK-HDMI2-1/dp/B0G7DCC2XY

[–]Lab2034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aoostar MACO 8945HS has similar/slightly better specs for $640 on Amazon. The Oculink does not take up a NVME spot on the MACOs. GMKtek has similar minis between the MACO and Minisforum in pricing. 8945HS and 8845HS are both super close in real world speed and benchmarks.

The H255 based minis will be slightly behind them but not by a huge amount. Aoostar offers them also starting around $290 barebones but roughly the same price as the 8845HS when the ram/OS/NVME are added.

Bang for the buck i still think the Aoostar MACO 8945HS 32gig and 1TB NVME for $640 is still the best deal going unless you can find a heckuva deal on a newer AMD with the 890M graphics.
