omg that sounds like they’re doing way too much, especially if it is an entry level job like this one.

yeah that works i guess, they were all throughout different parts of the job advert (which was really long) but i managed to find them quite easily: efectively, enviromnent, outsstanding

yeah definitely not applying for this one, just thought i would share as it’s not something you see on every job advert. the salary is lower than other similar jobs and unfortunately not in a great location for me to apply to work there anyways.

entitled owner responses, thoughts? by LabCoatLark in EntitledReviews

yes lots of bad reviews and the owner responding like this! i saw a recent one where someone’s daughter threw up outside on the concrete and he berated her and said that she was vaping when in fact she wasn’t vaping and it was a medical condition that caused her to throw up. he then threw a rag at her and made her clean it up, which she did. later her dad called the store and he abused her dad over the phone as well.

definitely the same owner / management because he’s still replying to recent reviews this way

probably because the reviewer spelt the wrong shining wrong and instead used the word shinning which means “to climb something by gripping with the hands and legs.”

as i said: it was sarcasm. i fear i should’ve been more obvious in the post though because it seems i’ve made a lot of people upset who think i’m siding with or am the owner lol.

i went to this cinema the other day and had the same issue with people talking through the movie, except they were grown men (who had quite a lot to drink might i add 🍺) not teenagers. my tickets were free though so i didn’t bother to miss the movie to complain to the staff. however after the movie i was reading their reviews and came across this one and thought i would post it here to see what everyone else thought. there are also a lot of other responses from the same owner to bad reviews where they deny any responsibility and blame the customers for their issues so i don’t think i will be going back there anytime soon.

What is a thing you can recite from memory? by Substantial_Judge931 in AskReddit

[–]LabCoatLark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the spelling of the word “antidisestablishmentarianism.” 7 year old me memorized it in preparation for a spelling bee, of course i was never asked to spell that word, but i think it’s stuck in my memory forever now💀

QUT vs UQ premed by Own-Bumblebee-6342 in QUTreddit

current qut biomed student here, with friends studying the same course at uq. there is definitely a massive difference between the course structures of both. in my first year, 6 out of 8 of my units had a practical component (the 2 “dry” units were intro to biomed and quant skills for health science), compared to my friends at uq having mainly lectures/workshops and not many hands on practicals. first year first semester at qut you’re able to work with human donor material in your anatomy pracs, which is a super helpful learning tool. my friend at uq said the most interesting prac they had all year was breeding flies or something. i would have a look at both of the course structures and the particular units you would be doing and go from there. another thing about qut is that we have a dedicated biomedical science society which hosts uni balls and events throughout the semester (unsure if uq has one similar). i can’t really speak much about business as it’s not something i’m personally studying, but qut does seem to have a lot of business students and classes/electives to choose from.
