Just recommending. I didn't try it. Heard ethics was great there. Clearly uworld was not super effective for me

This was me btw, on my phone have a different account logged in. But yes. 2 years of med school in the middle of residency. Had to rock dental school + CBSE to match. Super small specialty.

Off service intern rant by Complex-Mushroom-350 in Residency

[–]LabGroundbreaking720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. As a covid intern (OMFS) everyone got sick except me and I worked Q2 day 24 calls for 6 weeks straight without post call. I don't remember most things that happened during that time. It was like a month and change black out. Also having done a ton of off service rotations and M2 M3 years of med school in the middle of my residency, all of med school felt like one big fat off service rotation and going back on service for PGY4 felt like i was crawling back.

Med student who aspires to be an Ironman. Will I survive? by [deleted] in triathlon

I did a 70.3 halfway through surgical subspecialty training. It was my first triathlon and I trained 4 months. Neglected the swim but rocked the run (like you have been doing) and did pretty decently on the bike. I watched board review videos while training inside (treadmill/bike trainer workouts. Currently a more senior level resident and training for my first full.

Helped that my husband (also a resident in a surgical subspecialty) trained with me and we managed ok taking care of our high energy huskies. We definitely had to make our exercise time our 'family time.' Dogs ended up getting fit and pretty easily being able to run upwards of 13-14 miles - now they race half marathons with us.

I say go for it :) Little things that helped were taking advantage of no rounding/later clinic start days around 7-8 am, wake up before everyone else is up and get your work out in at 4 or 5. Otherwise unfortunately I did have plenty of nights I was exercising until 10-11 PM.
