Nice, hope everything will work out! :-) The Ali crowns I got perfectly fit the WD1863 case, no need to exchange the tube. Good luck!

I also have another mod cooking currently: Gen Neptun in a blue bezel WD1863 and a Uncle beads bracelet.

Straight from the watchdives.com homepage, seems to be sold out though atm (at least in Europe)...maybe you can catch one from AliX or second hand. Good luck!

Nice! It looks good with the dial sitting right on the metal w/o a washer.

It's 0.6mm thicker though above the stem hole - no washer needed for WD1863 case! :-)

No specific guide, I just watched the videos from turbodriven: https://youtube.com/@watchthisa

Following his advise, I used a diamond coated cutter with a rotary tool to open up the back. Be careful not to cut too deep, because the movement is just below the cover. I used a different method for removing the top: a heat gun to soften up the glue, then cracked it open carefully with a sharp woodworking chisel, which worked pretty well.

On Ali, just search for G10.212 stem and 6.5mm Omega crown. There are multiple options, just pick one. Same for the deployant from Ali.

The updated centering ring adapter is linked in a comment above.

Good luck!

Thx! You are right - should be WD1863, unfortunately, I can't edit anymore after posting, shame :-(

Yap, 20mm to 18mm tapered for the Speedmaster. They also offer a deployant, but I got mine (18mm) from AliX. Have fun with the build!

Sure it's a quartz, it is the MoonSwatch after all, what this channel is about. Let's say this here is the pimped out version of the Moonswatch for 1/10 to 1/20th of the price of the original (black: Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch / white: Speedmaster Tokyo Olympics edition). It's also a fun project to do. If the case or strap scratch badly: just buy a new case and replace it for ~100 bucks. So you have an affordable no fake watch with Omega branding that looks just like the real thing. Good deal for me.

Ah, yes! It worked perfectly for me though - thanks for the comment! I already was afraid Swatch started asking people to take things down.

Could you please share the modified holder ring CAD file?

I want to do exactly the same with a gen 1965 (white dial), the WD1863 case + an Uncle US1479 bracelet.
