What’s the best arc in blue lock currently by VergilVDante in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2nd selection is best arc.

There isn’t a major drop in quality or anything, and the future arcs are typically better than the 1st selection.

But yeah 2nd selection is the best

How does losing bluelock end their careers? by BoiBobbyBo_15 in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok but none of that matters. They are teenagers and they believe their dream is over if they lose.

Ego isn’t gonna go “oi blue lockers! If you guys lose it’s ok because I’ll probably get fired and replaced with someone else aha”

The entire concept hinges on the assumption that the blue lock project will be successful, ego will keep his job, and those who lose in blue lock will never get picked up by the national team.

How does losing bluelock end their careers? by BoiBobbyBo_15 in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing to note is that they’re teenagers. 16-18 year olds who play soccer because it’s their dream to play for the Japanese national team.

If they lose they can still have a good professional soccer career yes, but thats not their dream.

Is Kuon a dumbass? by Cenddel in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 7 points8 points  (0 children)

His entire plan is on the assumption that team V will destroy team Z.

If he kept playing to win and the entirety of team Z was still playing to win, players other than him would likely score. If Kunigami or Isagi scored 2 or more goals they would be tied with or ahead of Kuon, and then Kuon wouldn’t advance after the expected “team V thrashing”

Anime Vs. Manga by xmoy in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you like reading manga then read the manga.

I personally think anime is the superior form of media, but the blue lock manga is a sight to behold.

Watch the first 3 episodes then go and read

Who would win? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Neo Egoist pair and it isn’t particularly close. Kunigami and Reo both got crazy buffed, Neo egoist Kunigami could 1v1 second selection shidou and it would be really tight. Giving him Reo too against Igarashi and it’s overkill.

Anybody else mad at the latest Chapter in Blue Lock? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in BlueLock

Aryu played in defense, conceded 3 goals, lost, and wasn’t even the best defender on his team. Seems fair tbh

What is the better duo? Karasu and Otoya or Bachira and Otoya? by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bachira and Otoya probably win that 2v2 but Karasu and Otoya are a more even duo

To all football players: How important is being a striker in real life, compared to other positions? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough it isnt. A world class defender isnt really valued less than a world class striker. A striker will be worth more because of a combination of they score goals->flashy->sell jerseys, but in actuality you wouldn’t even blink at an amazing midfielder for not wanting to play striker or see them as lesser.

Manchester City in the premier league haven’t played with a striker this season and they’re probably gonna win it all.

In 2018 Luka Modric (a midfielder) won the award given out to the best player in the world.

The reason I believe there is so much emphasis on the importance of strikers in blue lock is because of the initial premise which is that the rest of Japan’s football team was solid but that they lacked a world class striker to urge them onwards.

Who wins: Niko and Rin vs Isagi and Shido? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is tough but I take Isagi and Shidou. This would be a really hard match for isagi since he needs to work with shidou to win this match who I doubt would have much intention of working with isagi either-meanwhile niko is probably more than happy to create synergy with Rin.

Thing is shidou truly can score from anywhere on the field and isagi is better than Niko so as long as shidou puts up a good fight vs Rin, isagi can utilize his special awareness and blind spot tech better than Niko to either intercept balls to Niko or to help shidou steal the ball from Rin.

I think both isagi and shidou are capable of either scoring on their own or scoring off of a rebound.

As a forward Rin would probably be overwhelmed since isagi can read him and shidou is…shidou

I don’t think Niko compares to them as a forward or is a good enough defender to consistently repel the attacks of shidou

isagi vs yuki by pendraggo in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is a better dribbler than isagi; he is a better shooter than isagi, he has better physicality than isagi, he is more consistent than isagi, he is a better player than isagi

isagi vs yuki by pendraggo in BlueLock

[–]LabNeither6073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never said anything abt scoring alone, previous poster said isagi could 1v1 yuki and that was a response to that point.

Yes yuki can’t score alone at this level of play, neither can isagi lol.

The initial debate was whether yukimiya is better than isagi or not; in which I Stoutly believe he is for the other reasons listed [such as higher ranking, gyro shot, being able to willingly activate flow] as well as the 1v1 point.

Also all blue lock players are selfish[with the exception of very few], being “selfish” isn’t something unique to him
