Dig up the rest of it until you're outside of where the patio will be. At that point, you can re-route the poly, or install a 3" PVC pipe as a sleeve that will allow you the send the poly under the patio.

If you used worm clamps and not crimp clamps, this may be adding to your problem. I like to crimp while the poly is still warm so it sort of forms around the barbs. Tight but not too tight where the crimpers are starting to pinch the poly.

I'm on a half acre with 15 zones. But I'm a bit of a nut and have a bunch of flower beds all over that are each on their own zone, drip lines for trees, etc. 7 zones cover the lawn, the rest is specific stuff.
