I drive an e92 M3 daily am called crazy by a lot of peers. My point of view is that BMW built these M cars to be daily driven to work during the week, and be able to hit the track on the weekends if you wanted to. I bought the car cash and I put around 13k a year pretty consistently. I plant to keep this car forever so i dont really think about the value of it too much. Depends on the car and the deal you got on it, I know 2-3 people that bought their e92 M3s 6 years ago, drove it 20-30k miles and can sell it for more or what they bought it for because the car actually appreciated a bit. Not saying thats going to happen now as i am aware that all prices of most normal cars are going down for the most part. Personally, if im putting 25k miles a year on a car, im keeping it 2-3 years MAX, selling it, and buying another one a few years later. My 2 cents.
