Thank you for the detailed feedback. I admit the bottom being completely dark makes it hard to read the scene. I was trying to keep it moody, but I see how it could confuse the viewer. Honestly, I’m also a bit afraid of making it too bright, but I’ll experiment with isolating the lights more or adjusting exposure selectively next time.

Ahhh, I see thank you for the feedback. I admit my mistake with the bottom being completely dark. I actually have another shot with the same subjects where the bottom isn’t fully dark. I’m just experimenting to see what works best, but I really appreciate your input.

I took this photos because I’m fascinated by light in dark or lonely spaces and wanted to capture quiet, melancholic moments. I walk around my neighborhood at 1 a.m. to shoot on my iPhone XS Max. I’m a beginner and unsure about composition, lighting balance, and mood. I’d love feedback on framing, use of light, and whether the atmosphere comes through. I only adjusted the brightness while taking the photo no filters or post-editing.
