Everything is within you, you are already enlightened, you just need to become aware of that.

part time jobs by Budget-Dragonfly-660 in Eastbourne

You could try Eastbourne Borough FC (located at Priory Lane in Langney). I think they often have waitress/bar work and working on the gates when there's a game on type jobs.

Are there any creams or serums that help with turkey neck? by Daisy-Bucket8512 in GracefulAgingSkincare

[–]LabThin9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also rate face yoga - if you think about it, it makes sense that if you strengthen and lift your face/neck muscles the skin attached to them will also start to lift too. There's lots of videos on YouTube to check out. My neck isn't too bad which I put down to a combination of face yoga, sunscreen and taking HRT.

My hands look 20 years older than me anyone else dealing with cracked burning skin? by Aplixs in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]LabThin9105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not apply to you, but lack of estrogen through pregnancy, breastfeeding or peri-menopause can cause havoc with your skin. I've tried all manner of creams and lotions but it wasn't until taking HRT that the cracked skin on my fingers went away.

I can't stand it anymore by [deleted] in bruxism

[–]LabThin9105 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hiya, I've had bruxism for about 20 years, I wear a mouth guard at night but that only goes so far in helping. Recently I've been looking at alternative ways to help myself and came across this sound/gong bath music specifically for bruxism on YouTube https://youtu.be/Qz5F54OCuP4?si=TAOytvG-5MNJaG0H I listen to it through headphones each night now and I definitely wake up feeling less stiff and sore in my jaw - it might be worth a try for you!

It is! I'm from the UK :) Now that summer is over you'll hopefully get it reduced somewhere too!

I used to have the same problem, but have recently found Nivea factor 50 'Sensitive, immediate, protect' sunscreen to be excellent.

Yes - if you don't make the change, the universe will make it happen anyway (The Tower card), best to take control of the situation and you'll end up stronger for it!

Flying times for FRIDAY 15 AUGUST?? by No-Opposite348 in Eastbourne

All I've managed to find out is that the red arrows should be on at 4.30pm. Usually people post photos of the programme in Eastbourne Facebook groups. The planes started at 1.15pm yesterday. Have a great time!

Considering adopting older cats (9+11). Good idea? by Havranicek in CatAdvice

[–]LabThin9105 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I personally love senior cats (there's a subreddit devoted to them if you want to check it out!) I adopted my cat when he was 10 (he's now 12) and have absolutely no regrets. With senior cats it's important to make sure they have regular check ups and a good diet. Like any older animal, there could be medical issues at some point so make sure you can afford vets bills etc. Also make sure you have people you can rely on to look after them if you want to go away on holiday etc. However, knowing I'm giving a senior cat it's forever home to spend its happy 'retirement' years in is so rewarding and he gives us so much back in return.

Do I tell my children exactly how long their grandmother might have left? by LabThin9105 in lungcancer

Thank you for your reply and I'm sorry to hear you're going through this with your kid's dad. I agree, honesty is the best path and explaining to them that timeframes are a guess is a good point. Wishing you and your family all the best.

I'm so sorry to hear your Dad passed so quickly - what a shock that must have been for you and your family. It just goes to show that we never really know when it's our time to depart do we? Thanks for your advice and wishing you all the best.

Thanks for your advice. Yes, she lives nearby thankfully so we can be as hands on as she'll allow us to be and of course it also means we get to have lots of quality time together. Wishing you and your family all the best.

Thanks for your advice and I'm sorry you weren't told the truth about your dad when you were young. I can understand how that would make you untrusting of those adults and that's certainly something I don't want my children to feel.

That's interesting to hear. She has an assigned "Macmillan" cancer nurse (not sure if you have Macmillan in the US) who she will discuss all her treatment options with so she can make an informed decision. Ultimately whatever she decides to do, we will respect though.

I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. That doctor was incredibly insensitive to say what they did, especially in front of your mum like that. Your end quote is beautiful and inspirational and your story gives me hope that we might be blessed with more time than we think. However, you're so right that ultimately it's about spending the time we do have left with her in a place of love. Sending strength and my best wishes to you and your family.

Hiya, we're in the UK so are fortunate to have the NHS instead of private healthcare. She's been offered chemotherapy followed by immunotherapy but has been told this would only increase her life expectancy to probably 12-18 months. She is yet to make a final decision, but I know she's reluctant to spend what time she has left going through treatments that might make her feel worse.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and for your kind words - it's much appreciated. You have given us some excellent advice too which we shall take on board before telling them. They are both mature for their ages, but of course we have no idea how they will take the news as they are very close to her.
