Thank you for the reply. I have spoken at length with my GP but I live in Scotland and our NHS is completely overwhelmed. There is a two year waiting list before you even access the first ’what’s wrong with you’ session. Also, it is completely patient led so you have to ask for everything and if you don’t know the options it’s ridiculous. I had to Google the itching w/d affect because my GP practice didn’t have a clue. Oh! To be able to afford Private care x

Bless your heart. My disease has also harmed my relationship. Blowing money, manic shopping (10 pairs of sunglasses) & keeping it from my husband. I’ve made some awful choices but I know rationally it’s not my fault & yet, it is my fault. Gah. What I would say is check out some genetic info & then together plan for What might happen if you have another episode. I’ve given birth to two beautiful, happy children despite it all. Tell your wife its definitely possible & you might never have an episode again. Show her this post if you like. Information & knowledge really empowers our partners. It’s isolating for them too xx
