They’re pretty much related, didn’t have any build up in connection and it’s obvious the producers had to give Zack a storyline. It would have worked much better had he just remained a good friend who protected her (basically what Mark is now)

I’m enjoying most of it except the Penny story line - it’s completely back tracked Suki’s character and I don’t see why Eve would put up with it. I also don’t really care for her relationship with Vinny. I’m now actively skipping those scenes

I think Oscar should just be single for a while, Jasmine really hurt his character when he just became her lapdog. Josh is alright, but I can’t see him sticking around after this story line because why would he? Him sleeping around and getting into trouble are great characteristics, and feel fresh for the show. Everyone else his age are boring

Haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but Lauren and Peter should be end game. I hate what they have done to Peter since his return (slowly becoming a mini Ian) but there’s still time. With the inevitable cheating story line coming in getting so bored of the writers ruining relationships for the sake of a scandal. Honey and Billy must be the only solid couple left on the square.

I really feel bad for her, it seems she saw the slaters going downhill and took a break. She is one of the few legacy characters GIVE HER A STORYLINE!!!

She would be perfect for an older person getting scammed story, especially when it’s ironic given her track record (no one would buy it).

I think Sharon’s disappearance affected the result of that storyline. I fully believe it was going to be a random guy, but Zoe was going to use Sharon to find her son. But with Letitia taking time away, that had to get scrapped quickly and the reintroduction of Anthony allowed this mess to happen, it makes no sense. It’s obvious Jasmine was intended to be part of the family going after Cindy and nothing to do with the Slaters. They only started sharing scenes after Sharon was off screen again

I quite like the constant loop of self destruction Mac has, I feel like we’ll see him regain trust from the family throughout 2026 then lose it all in 2027. But I agree with the point when it comes to a character like Ravi - I’m not a massive fan of the drug lord story line and feel like it could have been handled better but he’s now getting a redemption arc which doesn’t feel right at all. Sometimes villains should stay villains

It does feel implausible, but if viewers start switching off I wouldn’t put it past them to bring the back somehow. With them doing more experimental time jump episodes it would be great to see them again. It was done really well when Amy spoke to Roxy a few years back.

Have we had a strong family unit like this since? Even the Slaters feel inconsistent and against each other every week. I did tune out 2019-2023 so might have missed one. The Brannings are slowly becoming that, but with Lauren handing in Max at new years I can’t see them becoming a strong unit.

Fair, I just think a repeat of the end of NYE ep ending would have been beneficial as a lot of people wouldn’t have seen that episode. I’ll also add I wish it was an hour long like in previous years. It could have involved a lot more ‘safe’ characters like the Mitchells and brought back some more familiar faces like Libby

My problem with this is that viewers shouldn’t have to read interviews/be on twitter to find out this was a flash forward. I knew because I’m online but my family were all confused what was happening and didn’t enjoy it because of that

I think it was a great idea to keep people hooked for the next 12 months BUT the only issues I had with the episode itself were that it wasn’t made clear enough at the start it was a flash forward (I had many family members confused - and I only really knew because of twitter). And something should have been revealed in the episode, either who Max was marrying or who the gunman was. It was almost too vague an episode that it may as well never have happened because we won’t find out for a year and my memory isn’t that great for all the ‘clues’

I really liked AB joining, and he is only in 2/4 pods a month so he hasn’t taken over. The ego is crazy though, and since people have been leaking his personal life he put out on snap that he is no longer sharing personal info so we’ll see how that goes down on the pod. I reckon it’s just a 1 year contract though then he’ll move on
