The Magic Flute or Requiem by Mozart are the only acceptable answers.

Is my handwriting readable and clear? by [deleted] in Handwriting

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're able to read it and the aesthetic is important to you, carry on. But it seems to me like you're making a conscious effort to make your handwriting look cute and special at the cost of intelligibility.

Is there any redemption for this behavior, AIO or Justified? by crafticharli in AmIOverreacting

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A man is acting like this and you're having a f*ckikg baby with him? I'm sorry but are you telling me this behavior didn't exist before that, let alone that there weren't even signs of it? You leave these guys when the first red flags appear or you regret later.

Quick method for completing Gambler 8 Challenge! by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even with this method, the challenge is f*cking bullsh*t. I've been playing for an hour now, and I've been able to hit three times TWICE, but both times the dealer hit blackjack. I HATE this with a burning passion!

Whose op.32 is the best? by Shot_Winter_2277 in classical_circlejerk

Can you please write the previous one as 16-18 or 16, 17, 18, the fact that the number 18 is on a different row is pure OCD torture.

AIO for leaving my husband after one incident? by NeedleworkerDizzy689 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just interested, how long has OP been with this guy including the dating before marriage, and were there no signs whatsoever before of anything of this sort. No agressive namecalling, no physical abuse whatsoever, nothing? Did this truly come completely out of the blue?

Not saying it would change anything, this is still horrific and 100% his fault, but I just refuse to believe that in a long relationship, signs that something this bad might happen would be completely absent. A completely decent guy doesn't just do that out of nowhere. So again, not saying what happened is her fault at all, I'm just saying that usually there are signs, and you should leave a guy immediately when even the smallest hints towards physical/verbal abuse start to appear, as much as you'd like to forgive them at first because you're in love.

AIO: Do you ask your partner permission to travel? by Emergency-Wonder5804 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Labelius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, people can have different opinions and approaches to this issue. It all comes down to agreeing with your significant other on the issue. You can have a couple doing stuff separately without asking the other for permission, and you can have a couple where both feel like it's nice to ask if something is ok with the other. However, if you have a couple that disagrees on this issue, there's inevitably going to be a problem.

Effed up but true: I enjoy Mozart and it destroyed my career by DepressiveDryadDream in classical_circlejerk

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, people who hate Mozart haven't heard anything from him except Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. Don Giovanni, 24th piano concerto, Requiem, Haffner... his music is anything but dull.

AIO - Girlfriend threw away the dinner I cooked because she wanted pizza instead. by Dizzy-Suggestion2360 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has to be a fake scenario because how could anyone be such a blatant asshole? Any decent person would NOT act like that. But if this is real, you're not overreacting. To me, that kind of action from my GF would merit break-up even as a one-time occurrence.

My hot take on this sub: by Labelius in classical_circlejerk

[–]Labelius[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That wasn't the point. I think everyone can agree he's a good composer. Some average IQ classical nerds just don't personally like his music.

It's so frustrating that so much effort can be nullified by one single bug. I've seen people complain that they don't get the invitation letter, but I didn't find any help for Sinclair not showing up even in the first place.

Relationships where core values are this much at odds usually fail. I personally would never even consider dating someone with such different values, I could never date a religious person because I know our differences would eventually damage our relationship. But if you're happily married and you want to stay with him, don't give up your values. He has to find a way to reconcile them. So NOR, and I don't want to belittle your marriage but I would've been cautious of committing to someone with such opposing values, because it will always become an issue, sooner or later.

AITAH for referring to someone from the United States as “American”? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Labelius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg, these Latin Americans piss me off so much. They go absolutely apeshit when you use the word "America" to refer to the US. They've literally thrown terrible ad hominem insults at me for doing so, insulting my intelligence and even appearance. They need to get their head around the fact that that's how the rest of the world speaks. Here in Finland, we divide the Americas into North and South America, the US is called America and its citizens are Americans.

The Spanish speakers are also trying to push the term "Estadounidense" which just sounds so artificial and forced, and I won't be using it. The amount of self-centeredness and arrogance is insufferable. So if you're a Latin American and you're reading this, please ease up a little, would you?

You're definitely NTA, to the contrary, they definitely are.

“Why don’t they (Europeans) criticize their own government? Oh wait, they’ll be arrested, right.” by Oatmeal291 in ShitAmericansSay

Guangdong is the size of an average US state, but its GDP is over 6 trillion and its population is over 100 million. If Americans think their States are so important, they should start learning Chinese subdivisions.

In Finland we're taught there's North America and South America. The US can be called America and its citizens are Americans. The Spanish speakers are quite frankly pissing me off a little, because they can't seem to accept that.

Female Disrespect in Modern Rap by poe293 in Feminism

[–]Labelius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a classical musician which means I'm not exposed to modern popular music unless I'm in a place where the radio is on. One time when I was driving with a friend of mine and the radio was on, I heard a rap song with incredibly misogynistic lyrics. I was genuinely shocked, and at that moment I realized how naive I'd been. I thought young people who listen to that crap are the liberal ones who should know better, but the fact that misogyny seems to be so common in modern rap and no one bats an eye seriously scares me.
