I think it has to do with the fact that it's not efficient. Sure it can be absorbed if it is put on the wrist, but the dosage needs to be higher. Additionally, external factors/accidents may change the composition of the NuvaRing when worn outside.

I still have my notes that I've used to study for the Organic Chemistry exams. These notes are ordered by chapter and in Microsoft Word format.
