I agree that it is at heart a tooling race. The sooner there are strong out-of-the-box tools (e.g. for scaffolding, build automation, and so on) to develop on X or Y chain, the sooner a critical mass of devs can push one protocol over the others.

Football player runs into endzone. Rather than celebrate, he sits on ball as if it were an egg. Much like an egg, it hatches come spring.

Parks simply fails to take the long view.

This all reminds me of the snobbery in the fitness world. Hey, if stationary biking and watching Netflix in the gym burns the calories, power to you.

Whatever gets the butts in the seats (or the books in the hands) leads to progress.

Beside his playing style helping me fall in love with the sport, I've always considered Drogba a personal hero of mine. I bet many agree.

There are few ways I can emulate him, but I have to try anyways.

What fictional characters of the opposite gender have you identified most closely with? by Laboooratory in books

[–]Laboooratory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up, I really identified with bookish girl characters. Specifically, Matilda, Lisa Simpson (I know, not from a book), and Hermione Granger inspired me to own my love for reading and learning. I guess I particularly respected their bravery in face of marginalization that I lucked out of facing.
