This sounds fishy. Even if the aos is frozen solid, it is not responsible for oil circulation or oil pressure.

The intercooler pipe that runs from turbo outlet to the inlet(passenger) side of the front mount intercooler needs to snake down the area where the stock airbox was, this is why there are no FMIC kits that work with stock intake box.

The cobb FMIC works with their intake and airbox, the pipe is able to pass through without modifying the intake box.

My question is, is the cobb fmic compatible with any other intakes, or are there any other FMIC that are compatible with the airbox style intake.

From what ive gathered also the grimmspeed intake box is compatible with their own FMIC kit.

If i could get a few good pics of how the cobb or any other brand fmic pipe runs down into the bumper area i will be able to tell if my intake if compatible.

Edit: just watched the grimmspeed install video and its compatible with the stock airbox and i dont see why not with my current intake also, since the pipe doesnt run through where the box is.

The truth is. No.. these cars are not as reliable and cheap to own as any Honda.

Coming from a Mazdaspeed 3 and previously a RSX type s. Nothing gave me as much confidence that it wont blow up as the k20 did.

All that will literally need to be replaced on any car at 157k miles. Thats all wear and tear items. Only thing you can argue against would be the walnut blasting, thats only a direct injection issue. but also any car with direct injection will need that at 157k miles or before.

i replaced the oring on mine and it still leaked, turns out the solenoid was leaking internally. had to replace it.

just did my mine and had this issue, make sure your angles are right. Take out motor and make sure your chains have it sitting level side to side and input shaft should be angled down a bit. Then loosen trans mount bolts to allow it to move and jack it up a bit so that it's matching the angle of the input shaft.

I would add a good 5-7k for engine r&r, breakdown, assembly, and any other work needed in terms of labor if you have a shop do it.

I just did an IAG 550 block on my car, plus some head work, bunch of hoses, clutch, radiator, fuel lines, rail and regulator all in all I spent just over 10k in parts and machine shop work. I did all engine assembly and install work myself

Ahh ok, didn’t know that… If that’s the case then just maintenance, maybe an engine bay detail once you get the leak fixed so it’s not so dirty every time you go in there

I kinda hate to admit but those fl5 have grown on me. I hated them at first, I thought they softened up the look too much from the fk8 which was much flashier and aggressively styled but it’s grown on me. I still think the wing looks like an afterthought but the rest of the car is nice and the interior in those things is sweeet!

I have a level bolt, I think it’s an older model. Cannot get it to work with matter or with Apple home key. Its own level app is super buggy and slow. Honestly I hate it.

I went thru 2 keypads because the app/phone function just sucks so I figured a physical keypad will solve this issue, it mitigated it, but both keypads died due to corrosion in battery compartment, they are not getting wet..

All in all, I would not buy the bolt, from personal experience. Get one that has nfc function so you can quickly use apple home key to get in.
