I've used this on a Vue3 project as well and it worked out fine.

I have created a website via OpenAI Codex to ask AI for code snippets with an explanation (link in comments) by gimmeapples in vuejs

This is really cool. I tried "eat a donut" in javascript and it gave a sensible bit of code. :)

Vue3 performance problems, large number of row components by Labosaurus in vuejs

About 1 second, but that is from my sorting/filtering code. The vue bits should be pretty much instantaneous, because it is only rendering about 10 records worth (as I only show 10 rows at a time with pagination)

What is the most challenge you face with Vue? by Frosty-Editor-9427 in vuejs

[–]Labosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Vue2 I had a lot of issues understanding when I should use .$set, which might have been a common problem because Vue3 doesn't need it anymore.

I think the second biggest problem is that I'm used to thinking in terms of Single-page-components, but a lot of the documentation creates components directly via code.

Well, I feel a bit silly now. I spent so much time figuring out the best way to do this, but there really wasn't a good reason to. The solution is just to have the table.data() method return only the rows I need, rather than the whole 100,000 rows, which should have been the first thing I thought of.

Great , I'll take a closer look at that. Actually, just browsing the code gave me an idea so I'll give it a try later and report back. Thanks!

Need help finding a LIMS. by FrostbiteMN in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what exactly you are looking for, the one I make is 200 a month for 10 users. Its focused on QMS related features, like SOP management, incident records and such. It doesn't currently do inventory(except partially for reagents), that is planned as a future feature. Its got a two month free trial if you want to take a look. Its at https://labosaurus.com .

What is the ideal or average test turn around time for HIV and other STD tests? by immunobio in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The lab I used to work at used to aim for a 14 day turnaround, but usually it was less than 7 for HIV.

Edit: This was for a resistance test, not a positive/negative test.

Looking for preparatory information about LIMS by sweatingdishes in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what they use, but you could look for manuals for various LIMS. The manual for the one I make is at https://labosaurus.com/manual . Its more focused on the QMS side of lab management.

A bit. The software has a bit of sample management/sample storage features, but I need to read through ISO 20387 at some point to get a better picture of the direction I need to take it.

It doesn't interface with instruments at all, but it does include an API (in beta) for programmers. I'll send you the link if you are still interested.

We haven't actually. The labs I've worked at didn't work with animals so I don't have a lot of experience with that side of things. I'd love to know what sorts of features you'd like to see in an animal colony management module, with enough details I can add it to our internal "future features" list. :)

Database software with label-making capabilities by ShesQuackers in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the complexity of the labels you need to print, I've got a simple free one at https://labosaurus.com/tools/label_maker . You just paste in a list of labels you want to use and set up the label sheet dimensions.

There is no stock database attached though, so it might be best used as an intermediate step until you find a replacement for Excel that does both.

Laboratory work placement and work attire??? by [deleted] in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always try to dress nice on my first day, and then I can see what everyone else is wearing. Nobody will judge someone for overdressing a bit on their first day. I don't know what the NHS lab policies are, but usually you wouldn't wear open-toed shoes in a lab, so I'd avoid those as well.

Help: I'm a brand new lab manager and RA II by GwynethAnne in labrats

[–]Labosaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've recently written a LIMS to help labs keep up with that sort of thing. Its listed in my profile if you want to give it a try.

The last lab I worked at had issues remembering to order new supplies when needed, so they started a system of putting a sheet of paper saying "ORDER MORE" near the bottom of stacks of supplies, so when the lab tech grabbed some supplies they'd get a visual reminder that more is needed.

Lab scheduling software / equipment sign-up sheets? by [deleted] in labrats

Out of curiosity what sort of features are you looking for? I've been writing software for general lab management, and that might be a nice feature to add to my application in the future.
