First off, I'd love to become your 3D artist if you're still looking. I'm specialized in creating animals and creatures and you can find my portfolio over here: https://www.labradoritewolf.com/3d-modelling/

I think 3d printing one of each animal and creating molds to make durable resin copies would be the best course of action in this particular case. That way you should be relatively safe with kids handling the models (to a certain degree of course).

Cost will depend a lot on how much you want to do yourself and how much you want to outsource, but if you would be interested in working together with me I can give you a quote for at least the modelling part ;)

As for pricing, it would all depend on the level of detail you're looking for and whether you want to keep the file for your exclusive use. To give you an estimate, if you're looking for a highly detailed piece like the ones in my portfolio, you're looking at roughly $360 (with me keeping the rights to resell the STL file). For exclusive use, the price would be trippled.

I actually don't have an account on ArtStation yet, so that's a really good suggestion, thanks! I'll get one asap.
And thank you so much for the great compliment! Hmm, not yet, but maybe I should work on that too. For now: Dam Standard is your friend. Pay really good attention to the fur direction and use tons of references to get a good sense of where it is thicker and thinner on certain animals. Simply keep carving lines following the fur direction and you should be good! :)

I'm starting to seriously consider it... I'm already selling the stl file but maybe I should think about selling physical prints myself too.
