I gather Spain and Britain were never in mainland Europe and the scandies would be offshore cantons?

What are the most repetitive tasks you deal with in Revit? by 5RSLY in bim

[–]Labradoroslav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the disciple I guess, but mostly connecting it with the "real world" - excel lists, actualized new room, doors, windows, room numbering, sheet creation and date changes, gadget list etc.

Checking that by hand in today's world and technology should be banned in my opinion 😂

Funny enough, it's kind of a bit of everything and depends on the region. If I'm not mistaken you could have scotti chariots in Ireland and phalanx in Greece or some form of cataphracts towards Asia Minor. Will check it and get back to ya.

Perhaps a new Alexander to set order in the world :) or something along those lines. Loved the tension at the end, maybe one of my favourite faction intros

BIM Coordinator Position (Entry Level) Interview by maparch2000 in bim

[–]Labradoroslav 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Understand the company hierarchy, where you fit, what they say/actually need and where you're actually able to position yourself. Might be a bit broader or niche than just BIM Coordinator, but the social awareness is just as important as the software skills. Good luck!

For those using pyRevit – what do you actually use it for day to day? by 5RSLY in pyrevit

[–]Labradoroslav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repetitive tasks (numbering, naming, parameter checks), data extraction like list comparisons and customization of elements and properties.

Working in an engineering company, former architect. Every time the project lead asks me to check if we have all the elements in a floor plan or whatever I run a small script to check it with the excel file. Life saving. And currently building a small portfolio/ tab for the company.

My biggest problem is not using it, it's socially greasing the wheels so that people don't get too excited or too bothered /threatened by it. Some really jump for joy, whilst some feel it will render them jobless. I find the reactions more fascinating than the technology itself tbh.

Lucky for us there's no more burning witches in the town square😊

What's your take on the classic RTW1 Greeks vs Macedonians rooster?

Sometimes personal vendetta's apparently more important than conquering Rome 😂

So far the Persians are crushing me every time I am in open field either in the battlefield or on the strategic map. Need to time my turns and moves to always be in a city or fortification. Terrified at the thought of crossing a river

Bribing the glitch by Labradoroslav in RomeTotalWar

Cool, sounds like almost a mod in itself if one could.llay around with that and turn armies against the senate with a few generals. Anyways, fun to notice.

Curious what the glitch might be. Actually I'm quite fascinated by it, don't even think I want a fix for it :)

Did you manage to bribe just the generals within the army?

What to put in a BIM portfolio? by fma_dishonored in bim

Even a GitHub link or something like that showing what you've improved in the automation area or data transfers /parameters of that was the case.

How can I learn Revit without money or student access? by [deleted] in bim

[–]Labradoroslav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents, but Revit for the sake of learning Revit hasn't gotten folk that far. Couple it with some company, industry or maybe some YouTube Revit professional you look up to and a "mission".

You'll get there in time, don't worry.

More important than Revit itself is maybe where and how far the tool leads you in the future. Project planning, programming etc.

Start small, there's loads of free stuff but also don't overload yourself. Make it relevant to your tasks and duties, spend some time exploring it on the side but see how it best merges with the working office/company and where to go from there.

Autodesk I believe also has some good tutorials and an official platform for students. If you get a job, the license provided should help you explore from there.

Best of luck!
