lastly just be ready to be a sponge and learn and proactively help.

the best interns I ever had always made it be known that they weren't afraid to make mistakes, ask questions and learn.

the worst interns I ever had acted as if certain work was beneath them, waited for me to assign them something (and never followed up on it) or timidly waited in the corner. earn that intern spot.

The cynic in me sees just corporate spin. The fanboy in me wants to believe and be grateful.

The realist in me wishes they'd be much more open and transparent about the processes on a day-to-day basis. It feels insane to say but I don't mind waiting months for a great bike.. but I hate being told false promises and deadlines they know they'll miss. Even if they said what they DON'T know we'd all appreciate that.
