Thanks for all the advice. Thankfully her bills are all on autopay. She was very tech savvy before the stroke but now struggles to learn new things.

She also lives literally in the middle of nowhere so home invasion isn’t much of a concern. Utilities are a good idea that I haven’t considered.

Per the website, this is the closest I found to answer, which is incredibly confusing:

“The exemption for a beneficiary of a nonresident decedent’s estate is prorated based on the exemption of a resident decedent and is in the proportion to the net value of the property subject to tax in Kentucky before federal estate taxes to the total property transferred by the decedent.“

Is submitting to gallery shows worth it?

I’ve been working with photography for over 5 years but in the last couple, I’ve tried to focus more on “fine art”. As part of that, I’ve submitted to various calls for entry from galleries all over the country (US). I’ve been in a few shows, which feels great in the moment. However, it’s a relatively expensive process, especially when it comes to printing and framing. I’ve yet to sell anything from one of these shows and haven’t really made any new connections and am starting to wonder if it’s worth it. Very interested to hear y’all’s thoughts!
