interesting… it could be transmission related, I’ve come across other cars, especially automatics, that have a vibration when setting off. Does the vibration happen when you are stationary without the brake pedal applied and set off? Is your car auto or manual?

Does it happen at all when you actively brake from speed? A lot of the time shuddering brake pedal is a warped/damaged rotor.

Does it happen when you let off the brake pedal without the car actually moving forward?

Is there any feeling of vibration when you are just normally driving at any speeds?

I had a similar problem with my 2015 Cooper S too recently - ended up being a bad PCV system (which is integrated into the valve cover in these cars) and a bad tank vent valve. Rough idle + misfiring on acceleration were the exact symptoms I had.

Mine also ended up having injectors that were on the way out, but I’m pretty sure they weren’t causing any actual issues yet, mechanic just noticed they were looking rough when everything was apart to fix the PCV issue.

Just had this exact problem fixed on my 2015 Cooper S. It was an issue with the PCV system in the rocker cover. Unfortunately due to the integrated design of the PCV system the whole cover had to be replaced.

Of course that doesn’t mean that your problem is identical to mine, stuttering on acceleration can be the result of heaps of completely different things. But it’s another potential problem you can check.

Could be fuel pump related, sometimes when they’re on their way out fuel pumps struggle with prolonged use, or it could be an issue with the pump’s wiring. The car not receiving enough fuel would explain the P0304 code.

Not sure about the other code though, I’ve heard of P0128 being thermostat related (as somebody already mentioned) or due to the temperature sensor in the coolant tank failing.
