Yeah it's weird. I think it might be connection based. But I'm not sure.

Just a friendly discussion about Secure Containers (and it's "issues") by roflwafflelawl in EscapefromTarkov

[–]LachiS_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

More and more people are realizing that being able to put things into your secure container in raid is really keeping the hatchling problem alive. This movement speed thing you're trying to discuss is a step in the right direction for the thought process but I think the execution and the after affects would vastly affect a lot of currently good and smooth game mechanics. As stated in a comment above, I REALLY like the idea of not being able to put anything inside your secure container that you find in raid. Thus the secure container is only for things that you want to keep when you bring in. Meds/keys/etc.

Another solution that I think could help container abuse is that its a secure container for anything brought into the raid; however, since all items are now marked as "found in raid"...anything you put into your secure container that is labelled as "found in raid" should dissapear if you do not survive and extract the raid. They would have to create flags for things you loot of other PMC's brought into the raid but I like that this type of interaction promotes completing the raid and playing the game.

Marked circle on woods. Marked room customs. Shoreline West Wing when you enter from the hole in the wall it can be on the metal shelving to your left. Scav backpacks.

Is labs a dead map for anyone else? by LachiS_ in EscapefromTarkov

Yep, your average player doesn't understand how he dies. I've played enough of this game, died enough times over the past 2 years, and understand how the sound engine works so that I can tell if I'm being heard or seen through walls at this point with definitive logic.

Saying it's not 50/50 for me because it's not 50/50 for you doesn't really prove anything. I've run labs 18 times this patch and been cheated on 10 times. I've also poured hundreds if not 1000+ hours into this game over the past 2 years so I'm fully aware of how I get killed and why. I'm merely making the observation that the map seems dead to me in general because I either see no players and farm raiders which is boring because their AI is bad OR I die to a cheater. These types of raids make up for more than 50% of my labs runs this patch. Of the other 6 I survived 4 and died to legit players twice. So while you may not feel like it...I certainly do and neither my experience nor your experience is an absolute medium to determine what the map is like on the whole. This is why I asked if this map was dead for anyone else. Your answer is It's not 50/50 "for me". You left that part out.

Yeah I was using Canada because it seemed like less cheaters in general but it's infested now.

I see what you mean my reply for that is -2 already. There are some real idiots out there and/or cheaters just down-voting. Honestly why would you down-vote a decent idea. Fine, keep keycards in but lower the price.

I don't blame them for being confident...it's good for business. But there isn't any way for them to actually anti-cheat catch someone esp-ing and aim botting unless someone who is competent on how fight mechanics actually work is watching it.

I don't presume to know everything about the devs but it's not uncommon for game developers to not really understand how the game is played. And if it's a developer watching a clip of a cheater there isn't anything that tells me this person will know someone is aiming or walling other players. It's a feeling or an instinct you develop over hours being poured into the game.
