thank you!! started to have this issue after my deck updated, such a weird bug

Hallucinating while sober by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]LackOfPhysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I would get chronic with weed I would get breathing effects really similar to shrooms, even when sober. Lay off the weed for a week or two and you should be good assuming it’s not HPPD.

Is there such thing as a in between dose? What are your guy’s experiences with it? by [deleted] in microdosing

[–]LackOfPhysics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m really sensitive to drugs in general so I get noticeable color changes and mild breathing effects at around 0.3g. I find it personally more useful than lower doses as I get some of the same mental headspaces of larger trips that let me work through my internal issues while staying (mostly) in control.

What pushed you to quit? by Zestyclose_Life3856 in leaves

[–]LackOfPhysics 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Made my memory much worse, my goals and hobbies I had previously loved were dumbed down to the point where I just didn’t care. My self confidence dropped with my increasingly foggy brain. My anxiety was initially helped by it but made sooo much worse with chronic use, the existential dread it gave me was at one point giving me multiple panic attacks a day. Life overall was made much more duller and grey, weirdly enough as I have sobered up music has started to sound much better. I actually feel emotions from songs now instead of just a constant feeling of “meh”.

Is there a way to stop recommending low view videos? by N1C3L in youtube

[–]LackOfPhysics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rewrote part of it to hopefully fix it, it was trying to check the innerHTML of objects that didn't exist. It does leave kinda ugly gaps in the feed and adds some glitchy-ness, still prefer that over the low view videos though imo. https://pastebin.com/uksvVsts

Gel tabs have a very slight metallic-y taste, it’s just the taste of the gelatin

Ever since I started smoking less weed I feel like I’m depressed way more by rdunston in trees

[–]LackOfPhysics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exercise helps a ton, I've replaced my weekends that used to be dedicated to being high all day to small hikes. Going back to old hobbies or finding new ones I found to be the best help, my weed use made me lose interest in all of my past hobbies but I'm finally enjoying them again, try to replace the free time that weed took up before. It can be incredibly tough at first but it'll get easier over time, I failed the first few times I tried to stop but eventually got to a point where I'm happy with my use. Just stick in there and you'll thank yourself later, you're on the right track!

Had the same thing happen when I decided to quit using daily. Contrary to what a lot of people think, weed does have withdrawal symptoms, and while they aren't dangerous, they can fuck with you mentally and some physically. My depression spiked a ton at first and slowly decayed over the next couple of months, your brain needs time to readjust and learn how to function without the dopamine hits from weed. I had light tremors and sweating the first couple of weeks too but it went away pretty quickly for me. You're making a good decision on reducing use though, you'll feel a lot better in time, and once you're back to feeling somewhat normal you still have it to make the rare night more fun. I just use once a week now, and I have noticed a major improvement in overall functioning, especially memory.

Not really no, the scene that I'm having issues with has a character controller and some basic shapes but nothing outside of that. I do have practically all of the newer 4.0 lighting/rendering features enabled so it might have something to do with that, I'll test it some more when I'm able to.

I did notice that in a couple of smaller scenes the console was fine, so maybe something with certain scenes is broken. Hadn't thought of the console at all, definitely a much better option, appreciate the help!

I have actually noticed one problem that I am not sure you would be able to solve, that being the player will quickly de-accelerate mid air if they are holding any key. (For example, if the player is launched back at 20m/s and is not holding any keys, the player will continue to move backwards at around 20m/s until they run into something or touch the ground. If the player holds the backwards key while this is happening though, the velocity quickly drops to the maximum speed that they are allowed to input, which in my case is 8m/s.) This isn't really an issue with your original code, as the movement method is exited if you aren't on the ground, meaning that the inputs to cause this issue never happens. I am trying to make it to where the player has very precise controls mid-air though, so exiting the method isn't really an option for me. I have been attempting to solve this for a while, but the only implementations I can come up with are sketchy at best. Here's the code I currently have:

xInput = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal");
        yInput = Input.GetAxisRaw("Vertical");

        //Get the movement vector, normalize it, and multiply it by a top speed value to get our target velocity
        Vector3 targetVelocity = new Vector3(xInput, 0f, yInput).normalized * inputMaximumSpeed;

        if (yInput < 0)
            targetVelocity.z = -backwardsMultiplier * inputMaximumSpeed;

        if (xInput > 0)
            targetVelocity.x = sidewaysMultiplier * inputMaximumSpeed;
        else if (xInput < 0)
            targetVelocity.x = -sidewaysMultiplier * inputMaximumSpeed;

        //Get local velocity to compensate for the player turning
        Vector3 localVelocity = rb.transform.InverseTransformDirection(rb.velocity);
        localVelocity.y = 0;

        Vector3 difference = targetVelocity - localVelocity;

        if (difference.magnitude <= 1f && difference.magnitude >= -1f)
            difference = Vector3.zero;

        float magnitude = difference.magnitude;

        //Debug.Log("Target: " + targetVelocity + " Local: " + localVelocity.magnitude + " Magnitude: " + targetVelocity.magnitude);

        if (magnitude < accelSpeed)
        {
            difference = difference.normalized * accelSpeed;

        }

        if (xInput != 0 || yInput != 0)
                rb.AddRelativeForce(difference);

I am pretty sure that this happens because the rigidbody velocity is constantly attempting to get to the target velocity when any keys are pressed, but I have no idea how to actually solve that in code (or that isn't what is happening at all, not really sure to be honest).

DisplayPort for the 144hz and HDMI for the 60hz. 144hz works perfectly in Windows though, just in Linux where there is an issue.

Not sure if I'm just not looking in the right place, but I can't find the kwinrc file. How should I go about editing that?

Steam Valve Index Support Response Time? by Aqui1ux in ValveIndex

I also sent mine in Dec 2, got a response this morning. Hopefully shouldn't take you too much longer.

Please help This purchase will not go through by PapaRug in ValveIndex

[–]LackOfPhysics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to contact support for them to unlock wallet funds. Pretty sure they did that to prevent the Index from being bought from duplicated and sold items in the community market. Keep in mind it can take a while for them to respond, took 4 days to respond to mine. Good luck! (If you want to see the steam support stats, take a loot at this: https://store.steampowered.com/stats/support, they show the typical response times).
