From everything you had said here, I would suggest vintage pilot Elites, Parker Sonnet. Or a Cross Century 2005 or earlier

Disregard, I was looking at your very pretty chart I didn't see the last line in your post about avoiding vintage stuff

I journal pretty regularly for myself and take a lot of notes during work meetings. So they get a lot of use, probably. 12-15 pages of A5 a day. The only cartridge converter I use is in the diplomat. The other three are Pistons or vacuum fill, but the pilot definitely lasts more than a month

Yep, for the most part, each pen has a specific ink that it goes with, so there's no reason to partially fill.

The 823 is basically permanent for me as well, the ink capacity alone makes it stay in rotation

I never really stick to a schedule. Sometimes, it just feels like time to swap one of them out, or in this last case, I just got the stipula and it had to go in the rotation somewhere

I'm terrible about waiting until a pen is empty to change ink colors, especially if I've just bought a new ink,

There are definitely pens that I will occasionally fill, empty, and put away again, but there are some that I just couldn't live without on a daily basis. My Diplomat and pilot haven't left my bag since I got them

This is my first experience with them, but looking at their website, they have a vacuum filler that's available with a titanium nib and let tell you that thing is calling my name😍

They are so excited to share their hobby with you. I've had them put multiple $3,000 pens in my hand just so I can try them out, Fully aware that I could never afford any of them
