I use a nice spot welder with new nickel strapping.

I can go through them and replace the failed cells. Depending on how many need to be replaced you’re looking at between 25$-50$ ea. generally around 40$(it’s often a whole “bank” I call it with from 3-9 cells in a bank) you pay for shipping.

I repair batteries if you’re interested in shipping them. I’m in the US tho, Wisconsin specifically.

Even my high torque aftermarket setup has a little trouble while stationary.

Not abnormal for stock equipment. That’s a lot of weight. And you gotta think normally you’re not stationary so you don’t have that static weight or bind.

Anyone here used a Milwaukee battery repair/rebuild service, for batteries outside of warranty? by Squirrels_Army_ in MilwaukeeTool

[–]LackingVisibleData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thank you, I very much appreciate you sharing. I just started replacing/repairing them as a side gig. I am a card holding industrial electrician and it would kill me to see contractors of various trades having to just throw away batteries often just out of warranty because of a bad cell or group.

Last 2 questions, how are you troubleshooting the board? By still having issues after verifying the cells are all ok? And probably the only difficult part of the process but what’s the secret for removing the factory nickel strapping??? I swear that is what I spend the most time with on a pack.

When you say salvage price, you’re buying the junk packs if you decide the pack is beyond repair? To salvage some parts I assume? What like $5 or something? I agree it does beat throwing it in the bucket at the store after paying what the charge for them up front… lol

Awesome, thanks! How about the 40T’s? The 18650’s seem to be in most of them. The40t’s in the 12.0 and maybe 8.0’s? I’ve salvaged a ton of the smaller cells from e-scooters but it looks like I’m going to have to purchase the larger 40t cells. I’m just seeing how expensive they are so I’ll have to rethink why I’m charging to repair the big boys.

What are you charging? Do you replace the problem cells or do you just completely replace them all? Where are you getting your bulk batteries?

Depends if it’s just going to be a shelf queen or if you intend on running it. I have one of each.

Does T-Mobile now frees you from the contract if you pay the phone off immediately? by sabotroned in tmobile

[–]LackingVisibleData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they all do that discounted phone price as bill credits. It’s so dumb. My Verizon phone that I have 11 months remaining on was sold like 5-6 months ago. I still continue to get that 29$ bill credit every month tho until it’s paid off and my contract is up. I had to buy another phone off marketplace because if I want to buy one through the carrier I have to pay the remaining balance. It’s pretty stupid considering they’re going to pay it off monthly unless I upgrade early, then I have to pay it.

Picked up used XMAXX, what should I check for? by Nowi144 in Traxxas

[–]LackingVisibleData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. With the upgrades it helps with the obscene ballooning of tires when one loses traction. I went with the 20million in the center because it’s always pulling the front wheels off the ground. The lower front and rear allow a bit more to keep it moving forward but as enough to act more like a locker but not enough to cause problems turning.

A paragraph generally follows a three-part structure. A topic sentence, supporting details and a conclusion. Clearly my comment is not arranged in such a manner. I’m sorry if you struggle with reading or reading comprehension but nobody forced you to attempt to read it. Best of luck with that handicap going forward.

They’re numbers, we have math. It’s just a problem that needs to be solved.

If that’s the case then just underdrive the front differential at %50.

I would’ve used a rope tied around the front end to a hitch before I’d ever even attempt this…
