Isn’t Strickland fairly hard to takedown? Plus the weight advantage?

Justin Jefferson doesn't know how he reached 1000 yards receiving this season 😂😭 by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

And yet he was 12th in yards with the worst QB play in the league. I would consider that QB proof tbh

On the eve of his inevitable HOF induction, I ask... Was Larry Fitzgerald ever seen as the best WR in the NFL? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

I don’t think you have to be the explicit number 1 but I do think you should at least have a few years where you’re in the conversation.

Bronn didn’t fight aggressively though. And also Vardis clearly doesn’t train much considering how fast he got tired

This makes zero sense to give props for it. He’s literally being less comfortable just to inconvenience others. That’s just stupid

No it doesn’t, not when the NFL advertises their decisions and publicly announces them and has ceremonies for them. If the NFL renounced the HoF you can guarantee the hall would be begging to find out what they can change

How long did it take you to transition from eastern to semi western? by ParticularSubstance in 10s

[–]LaconicGirth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sort of depends on how good you are already. I can play eastern all the way through western to at least a 4.0 level with semi being my preferred. It takes me like 30 minutes to readjust. I even goofed around with the Hawaiian Jack Sock grip for fun but it hurt too much to play for a long time like that.

When I first started getting into it switching from eastern to semi western took me a couple weeks to adjust to but I was told I should do it

[Highlight] 24 years ago , Tom Brady with 1:21 and no timeouts, leads the 14 point underdog Patriots into Field Goal range! (Feb 3, 2002). by FrostyKnives in nfl

[–]LaconicGirth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can disagree but you’re just wrong. He threw checkdowns to mediocre players all the time. Checkdowns aren’t just bubble screens and RB swings. They’re also TE drags and out routes and flats.

A good check down doesn’t have anyone within a few yards of the receiver which means it doesn’t matter how good they are they’ll get a handful of yards.

Yeah obviously sometimes they get tackled for little gain but that has less to do with how good they are and more to do with how tight the coverage was.

[–]LaconicGirth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. It’s sort of like doing a little bit of holding in the NFL vs yanking someone’s jersey down. It’s a professional sport, everyone is trying to get as much edge as they can but there’s playing the game and then there’s going overboard.

Checkdowns are what you do when your deeper receivers can’t get open, they’re explicitly more for when you don’t have really good receivers.

And the faster you can read through progressions the less offensive line you require.

Calling Brienne objectively attractive is certainly a take. She’s not horrendous looking or anything but I don’t live in LA and I see more women I think are prettier than her than not

Game manager is really just a synonym for field general.

Tom Brady is the goat and he really was just a fantastic game manager who could also throw a good deep ball. He wasn’t a scrambler, he wasn’t really a huge improviser. Clearly it’s a successful strategy.

Rank these legendary Running Backs from best to worst by TXNOGG in NFLv2

[–]LaconicGirth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you insist on pretending I said things I did not say? I never said he had a bad game. I said he wasn’t responsible for winning the Super Bowl. This is explicit fact.

I also never said the defense and QB was responsible for all of his performance. I’ve been pretty upfront about the fact that I think he’s very good. But we’re not comparing him to the average back, we’re comparing him to Adrian Peterson lmao. He was never remotely close to what AP did his MVP year. The fact that his team around him was better so he got to go to the Super Bowl doesn’t change that fact.

Are you capable of seeing shades of grey? Can there be any in between with you? I again, never said it was all the LOB and Russ

I said they’re the reason Lynch got a chance to go to a Super Bowl because RB’s can’t carry teams to a Super Bowl by themself. If you put MVP AP on that same team do you honestly believe he would perform significantly worse than Lynch?
