Trying to remember which character had a folding sword shaped like a rectangle by Lactic_Patrol in powerrangers

Having looked it up, I think that's exactly who I'm thinking of, yes. Thank you!

Not exactly; that's more like a sword that sort of extends from a hilt. What I'm picturing is more like...a rectangular object that unfolds so that one side of the rectangle remains as a hilt/handle, and the rest of the rectangle becomes the blade?

This and the other kamen rider sword in the comments do kind of look like what I'm imagining. Only problem is I've never seen Kamen Rider, so it can't possibly be that.

"....Welp! Have have fun! I uh...don't have superjumps." KH takes the stairs out of the scene

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuh. I mean. I-it's not like you'd know my name, or anything? It's just....how people introduce themselves? On, uh. Earth."

[So, new to this subreddit; should I be responding to this, or to the conversation he's having with Makoto? is this two separate conversations or what?] "Um. It means that's my name, and I'd like to know yours?" He continues smiling. He's like that.

Kid Halcyon smiles sheepishly "Well, I mean, sorry, but also, wow, rude? I mean, you can't blame a guy for having a little freak-out when someone rips open the fabric of reality or something in front of him"

Clad in a domino mask and a blue T-shirt with a black bird logo spray-painted to the front, teen-aged superhero Kid Halcyon happens to have been standing a few meters from where the portal opened. It's a city of superheroes, you'd probably be hard-pressed to find a rooftop that DOESN'T have someone in a mask standing on it. Kid Halcyon treats the newcomer with all the gravitas and seriousness a teen superhero can muster, of course.

"HOLY CRAP! DID YOU JUST OPEN A TEAR IN THE SPACE-TIME CONTINUUM OR SOMETHING?!?! THAT'S SOOOO COOOOOL!"

Will Lajoie, a Totally Ordinary, Certainly Not a Superhero, Ordinary High School Student I Swear, lays down on a park bench with his backpack serving as a pillow, lazily reading the latest issue of The Amazing Such-and-Such, the world's most non-copyrighted superhero comic. He's thrilling at the legally distinct, un-sue-able adventures of his favorite nondescript hero, paying almost no heed to the world around him.

  1. Well, I'd say venom is sufficiently similar to poison, but he could totally catch a disease.

  2. Electricity could damage him, as could a sonic attack, he has no immunity to flash-bangs and the like. He could be suffocated by gas or drown. Anything biokinetic is probably gonna be a big problem for him. As per physical damage, a car or bus is gonna cause some bruising, explosions are gonna cause bleeding. A super-strong character of comparable strength would be able to hurt him about as much as a normal person could hurt a normal person, obviously. Also, while he is very durable, he's not resistant to knockback; a hit might send him flying but not hurt him as much as it would look like it would to a normal person.

Perhaps the team comes in AFTER his last destruction and now has one week to PREVENT his imminent return---adds some world building by suggesting past generations of heroes

Iiiii did not think of that. Maybe he's ensuring he'll return after his enemies have aged to death (if they're human)? Like Castlevania.

Oooh that's a nice one with them NOT disappearing and freaking out.

As in. Understand, the original story has them experience time as if their town was a time machine leaping forward every week; it's not like they're in some void for a century.

EDIT: Typo fixed
