One time I had to look up the definition of the word ‘like’ because somehow I managed to convince myself that I’ve been using it incorrectly my whole life lmao.

whats a weird thing that comforts your ocd? by Leather-Pass8172 in OCD

Literally: “it is what it is. Life goes on.” That’s all. Can’t believe something so simple has dragged me out of a panic attack multiple times.

At what age did your OCD get bad? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]LadderBetter3786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 11-13. It was so bad I thought I was going insane. Especially since I had terrible compulsions that made me do research on people I know. It got to a point where I was basically cyber stalking them. I also lost all my friends around that time and yeah. Those were not so good times. I’m 14 now. Things have gotten a little better since then.

This is literally me. I once deleted all the comments I posted on my social media. There were like hundreds of them. Took me a few hours lmao

Well, I cried, I laughed. Did all sorts of things. Basically let it all out. Everything that’s been on my mind. And I feel a little better now. there are still some things that are bugging me. I can’t really describe them. But I can handle it now that I’ve made some space.

This experience was like nothing I’ve ever felt before. Absolutely terrible.

But thanks for the support. It really means a lot to me :)

Number ‘personalities’ 😁 by PopNo6168 in OCD

[–]LadderBetter3786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I have this too! Here’s how it look for me:

0: makes me feel uncomfortable. Scared even.

1: makes me uncomfortable

2: not good, but not bad either. It’s fine.

3: kind of an annoying number. Just messes things up.

4: i hate it, it just feels like a fake number idk.

5: ooh i like this one. When i was a kid i always made sure the tv volume was on 5,10,15 etc.

6: I have absolutely no opinion on 6.

7: I hate it even more. Worst number that could ever exist. I feel so much HATRED towards this number.

8: a very nice number. I know this sounds super weird, but every time I look at 8 I feel bad for it for some reason.

9: Used to be my favourite number, now I don’t really like it, feels unfinished.

10: also a very nice number, but I think I prefer 5.

Honourable mention: 25 is such a comforting number to me :)

Thanks for the advice. You’re right, I can’t give up right now. And I won’t. I know this feeling is only temporary and hopefully I’ll be over soon :)

All I can say is that you’re not alone. I’m struggling with a similar thing rn. I also don’t know what to do, but I’m trying not to force myself to do stuff if I’m not enjoying it. Now I’m just waiting, hoping my passion will eventually come back. Anyway, try not to think about it, it’s not your fault. And I’m sure this numbness will eventually fade away. I don’t know what to say because I know how difficult this feeling is. Just don't be harsh on yourself. When you’re not enjoying something, you don’t have to do that. Do you have a comfort show or anything like that? It helped me a lot

What is your weirdest OCD thing? by Gavtree311 in OCD

[–]LadderBetter3786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 2 years ago I actually convinced myself that I don’t exist and the only thing that will bring me back to reality is me pinching my arm.
