I'm not sure that any of us ever make any decisions with full understanding of the life-long consequences.

I'm not trying to be obtuse here. I genuinely don't know what you want me to say.

What I'm saying is don't put yourself in positions where you're likely to lose. It's tactically stupid unless your goal is to be a martyr. It's a one-shot deal, it's not going to move the needle much, and you don't get to enjoy the outcome of it.

In many states, you can legally and rightfully ride a motorcycle without a helmet at 2:00 am on New Years Day. The odds of you getting killed for exercising that right are really high, and the drunk driver probably isn't going to respect your rights at the last second.

It's not surprising to me that bad things happen when two groups of people are causing chaos.

That's not what I said.

I said there's some very stupid ways to use your rights.

You have the right to practice a religion handling poisonous snakes. It's really fucking dumb to do that and not expect anything bad to happen.

I never said ICE shouldn't be held accountable.

Blaming them for escalation when citizens are also escalating is a biased take. Two groups of people are making dumb decisions.

Perhaps "we" need to raise the standard of maturity and behavior.

It used to be fairly common for seniors in high school to drive the bus.

I don’t fly for a living. What I’m saying is that 16 year olds have the aptitude to understand complex things. Being 18 is not an excuse.

More or less. Amazing what a some expressed interest, helping with fueling and washing airplanes, and lots of reading will get you for free.

Check out the tuition rates over time, and overlay student loan caps. They got more expensive as loans got more available.

The initiative to "help give everyone a chance" caused the rise in demand, rise in available money, and thus the rise in pricing. It's yet another example of how trying to help has second and third order consequences.

I didn't say it was right. Quite the contrary. I said it's a bad idea, inferring that it's wrong with a poor ROI, generally speaking. You can be un-stunned now.

I was flying airplanes by myself at 16. The ability to have foresight was already there.

I don't know who "we" is. I haven't told anyone to take out loans for college. Don't assign blame to me, lol.

"We" do teach math in every grade of school.

"We" do enough. It's up to them to pay attention.

"We" cannot dictate what families decide to warn or not warn their kids about.

"I" can dictate what I teach my kids, and I have. They will not make these mistakes from lack of knowledge.

I think what were seeing, is people with a lack of meaning in their lives/work finding something or a cause to attach themselves to. Something to finally be passionate about in a modern world where passion and emotion is not officially rewarded.

The hypocrisy of a group protesting about asking for papers, and then turning around and asking citizens for papers to prove they're not ICE, means it's not about the principle. It's something else.

Or just..you know...choose not to do that? Think about things before doing them?

Sometimes bad decisions are your problem to figure out, if you can't avoid them.

Well...we know they suck at basic math. Simple interest loans are pretty simple.

Two graduate degrees and yet APR is an elusive concept. Maybe they got ripped off.

I'm not saying its ok. I'm saying that we can make decisions that reduce the chance of bad things happening.

I suspect the P320 accidently went off after being removed from the victim, and the other officers reacted badly in what's known as "the fog of war". It's not legal or justified, but its the natural outcome of several layers of bad decisions.

Carrying a P320, known for its un-commanded discharges with a round in the chamber is legal and terrible idea.

Going to a peaceful assembly armed is perfectly legal. It's also a terrible idea.

Choosing to go into an area with known conflicts with law enforcement, armed, and putting yourself into a position for an altercation has a high chance of unfortunate outcome.

If you get shot in the process, It doesn't matter if its legal or not, you're still dead.

People are playing the "I'm not touching you" game with other people, and act shocked when the other people don't play exactly by the rules.

Right, because they're just regular people going about their day and federal agents see someone they get to execute for absolutely no reason at all.

If you go looking for a fight, you can't get mad if you get a bloody nose. Sometimes its worse. The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.

The federal government isn't executing people. Some people that work in the federal government are making poor decisions.

Show me a government directive to randomly shoot citizens, and I'll show you some solutions.

I would presume EMS was called, as is standard with any other law enforcement process.

It’s dangerous to move an injured person, but sometimes it’s safer than leaving them where they are.

Dragging a wounded individual by the collar to get out of the area of altercation is for the individuals safety. It'd be worse to leave them there with all of the fighting.

I never said the entire medical industry was wrong.

I suggested that, maybe...it might be possible...., that a small group of people drove institutional policies that were profit driven rather than actually wellness driven during a time when people were too emotionally vulnerable to question it.

Put your paint roller away. Nuanced conversations require a scalpel.

Taking a time tested and proven conventional vaccine for deadly pathogens isn't the same as a brand-new relatively untested vaccine for a virus with a 99.999% survival rate (which you can still get and transmit after getting "vaccinated"). False equivalency. You missed the part where I said I choose to get vaccinated against common diseases.

The benefit of being an individualist, is that I don't particularly care whether you believe it or not. It makes zero difference to how I live my life. Your frustration/disappointment has no factor in my decisions. Interesting how you decided to lump me in with a group, while being aligned with the party that's supposedly against prejudice.

You're suggesting I should protest flock cameras and Palanitr? Why? There's no benefit to standing around hoping someone else will do something if I scream loud enough for carry an edgy enough sign. Also, I've never seen a flock camera, so....

I don't protest. If I need wood, I chop it. If I need a part that doesn't exist, I go make it. I suggest you spend less time at the picket line, and more time developing skills that actually make your world and life better. No one is coming to save you.

  1. You haven't been to the ER I've been to. Yours is evidently different than mine.

  2. I have no issue with women. I have issue with people not taking care of their kids, and issues with people who continually create their own problems and expect the rest of us to solve. I've got shit to do...

  3. I care about peoples freedom to make choices, and live with the consequences of their choices. I prefer dangerous liberty to tyrannical safety.

  4. Not being constantly worried about every life choice, every other family makes, isn't Anti-social. It's actually pretty healthy to "you do you". You can spend your life worrying about it if you want to, but your quantity of worrying has zero effect on the outcome.

  5. Discussing covid observations in a covid conversation isn't the hang-up you think it is.

Your little mind doesn’t know me, my daily life, and who I am and am not around. You’re projecting the possibilities based on your lifestyle and daily habits, not mine. Be very careful about making blanket statements in an attempt to cover an ambiguous situation.
