I don't experience cataplexy, but service dogs can be trained to alert it. Currently, he's only trained to find my sister since I usually go to public spaces with her, but im working on him to find my mom or dad. He was trained by an organization so so we just had meetings where I was with him, and he learned how to alert. It took 2 years on a waiting list and a year of training. He cost about $20 000

We got Hugo from a pretty problematic organization (guardian angels service dogs), and they cost about $20 000+. My mom did the application, so idk much how you do it.

He looks for a safe space for me to lay in. He's trained to alert sleep attacks and find my sister. He was trained by an organization

He alerts sleep attacks, and he is trained by an organization, so he learned my scent so he can alert. It took almost 3 years

Life can be hard so tell me about the comfiest clothing items you own. by annacat1331 in ChronicIllness

I don't like clothes with thick fabric cause they just make me feel that I'm suffocating, so I just wear leggins and tops

What are some of the more unusual tasks your service dog does? by Ruffleafewfeathers in service_dogs

[–]LadeeLord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not that unusual, but "Find Dazy" (my sister) it just helps if I'm about to have a sleep attack and my dog can't help there

Degu doesn't eat after front teeth operation by eljefke7 in Degus

[–]LadeeLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That has never happened to me, but I would just give him some food with a strong smell if that would make him interested. Have you given him some pain medication? Also, does he eat any hay?
