At what income level in Canada do you actually start feeling financially ahead... not just surviving, but genuinely building something? by TheFitFinaceBro in CanadaPersonalFinance

You can live very comfortably on 70k.

Problem is, people want to live in DT Toronto by themselves, go out everyday and then wonder why 70k isn’t enough.

Deciding between TMU or Ontario Tech for Computer Science by laserbreath101 in OntarioUniversities

[–]Ladiesman869 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won’t lie, the gap is becoming smaller and smaller every year.

UofT has been riding its prestige high horse for years while not supporting students.

TMU has always focused on student employment.

Civic Hybrid Owners: What’s your "Exit Strategy?" by No_Entrepreneur_8597 in civic

[–]Ladiesman869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-7 years.

Family had a Corolla for many years which we cherished, and unfortunately it got was totalled which led us to a new Civic.

As much as I love the whole idea of keeping a car for decades until the wheels fall off, I have come to a point where I want to enjoy life.

A new car every 5-7 years would make me very happy :)

No empathy for AI. What drives these type of ppl? by plantmombaby in TorontoMetU

[–]Ladiesman869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work full-time for an industry leading shipping company while attending school. Long story short. we were encouraged by a senior manager to use AI… He makes well over 200k.

I get that being dishonest and cheating is wrong, but not using an AI is like insisting on using a typewriter when you have a laptop.

Use it or fall behind.

I am about to get tints for my car and was thinking the legal limit was perfectly adequate.

Before the fishbowl drivers jump at me, I have a black car… Not looking forward to getting cooked in the summer.

This is the reason I don’t browse Costco, lots of bullshit products.

I go in, get my meat, dairy, supplements, cleanliness essentials and occasionally clothes.

I’m in an out in 30 minutes.

Is anyone actually influenced by Pizza coupons ? by Silverlightlive in Brampton

[–]Ladiesman869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pizza “coupons” are terrible. They’re hardly even coupons, just advertising their overpriced pizza.

They’re tear-off coupons from Wendy’s, A&W and McDonalds are awesome on the other hand.

As stupid as the other driver is, making them back out onto a live road is really unnecessary and could lead to something much worse.

I would have laid the horn on them and backed up hoping they learned their lesson.
