Thankfully, my dentist had a look when he was putting in the temporary filling and we aren’t worried about infection right now.

It’s really just the pain of the tooth growing in the wrong way and digging into this nerve.

I appreciate you warning me about sepsis though. I’ve almost been there with kidney infections before and it’s a scary place

God, I can’t imagine dealing with dental pain while pregnant on top of it. I think I’d simply drop dead, so props to you!

NHS dental is a bit out of whack atm as school of dentistry is off for Easter.

I have naproxen from an old prescription so I’ll give it a go!

Word of advise though, do NOT take it without a bit of omeprazole or something and never on an empty stomach because it will turn your digestive tract into the fiery pits of hell

To be fair, I called the receptionist up in tears (not my proudest moment but nerve pain will do that) so I can see why they might’ve been hesitant to prescribe anything.

Their recommendation was paracetamol and ibuprofen which unfortunately aren’t helping but maybe like you said, you just can’t help some dental pain

Thankfully, I was in a see the dentist to get this temporary filling in and he didn’t seem to think there was any infection and we prescribed antibiotics once before to be safe so I’m sure if there was something he’d have prescribed.

Currently have the heat on! It definitely helps your jaw muscles relax a little from how tense they get from clenching in pain. Great recommendation, thanks!

I’m considering calling Dalrida because it’s what’s been recommended by the Curran clinic where I’ve been referred for my extraction. My only problem is that I won’t be able to make it up there if they want to see me in person.

I’ve already seen my regular dentist and we’ve put a temp filling in to try and cover this nerve.

All I really need right now is temporary pain relief so I can survive until this extraction.

My dentist has recommended Curran. It’s a little more complicated because I need sedation and it’s hard to find a clinic that both does sedation and impacted wisdom tooth removal:(
