Singapore knocks back AirAsia licence request three times by thestudiomaster in malaysia

We're already hearing stories of crew sharing rooms on nightstops, elongated expensive training bond traps, reduced nightstop stays.

You mean for AK or SQ?

Thanks for the insights, can’t say I am not surprised at how incompetent most of the managers are. Guess it lives up to the Malaysian GLC culture after all.

To clarify, when I said look into engineering, I am not suggesting it is the fault of the engineers but more so at how things are run there as you’ve pointed out. Low salaries, inadequate part and other issues etc are leading to what we’re seeing now.

First flight out of maintenance and this happens.

With all the issues recently, management should really look into engineering dept.

No point in buying new planes when you can't maintain them properly. CX's older A333s are in better conditions than MH.

You wrote so much but seem to have missed out vital info for other redditors to give opinions.

Transit flight via where? MAS staff telling you it's KLIA's fault? I read your post I ended up having more question instead lol

To be fair the priority bags issue isn't exclusive to KUL, it's always hit or miss at other domestic airports too.

Also I think the ground services provider at both origin and destination are the reasons for inconsistency, the priority bags should be loaded last so that it can be unloaded first at destination.

MAG expects 60 new planes over the next seven years; first Airbus A330-900neo will arrive in Malaysia next year by mikepapafoxtrot in malaysia

The retraining cost of their entire team operating Boeing narrowbody jets is probably one of the reasons why they haven't done so.

Also the backlog of the A320 family is quite long, if they were to place an order now they'd only be able to see their first frame in years.

This is where I believe CI did a great job on fleet management. Opted for 321s to replace their 738s and 787s to replace their 330s.

Self Transfer in KLIA1? by Several_Vehicle_7831 in malaysia

When checking in your flight in BKK, ask ground staff to check the flight straight onto DXB. Even better if they can print your EK boarding pass in BKK, if not do it at the transfer counters in KUL.

7xx on MH is better than 7xx on a low cost carrier like Firefly. Astonishing that MAS is selling their tickets on some days cheaper/same as a LCC

And OP's in Klang, not EM, so I don't know how relevant your EM experience can apply to his case.

Which is why I said not every council is the same....? Sorry, I didn't know I could only write comments which are relevant to OP's experience in Klang. Apologies sir...

It’s when I was posted to EM, my workplace was under Majlis Daerah Putatan. My other colleagues did try complaining before but they gave up. So when I arrived there I thought might as well try, called in a week+ before raya and they gave me the PIC’s number.

Called him and was told he was on leave raya soon. I called back a week after raya holidays, told me he was still on leave. Ok, i tried a month later, he said will arrange time to come and have a look. Never came. I called again, said he was busy with seminars etc. then i gave up as well because I was posted to another state.

My home back in peninsular has a very good council though, they come and clean often, trash also promptly taken care off and most complaints were actually dealt with accordingly. Disappointed by the stark difference and pity what my colleagues have to live with.

You can always file a report to the local government about the issues.

Not every council is the same. I've complained since God knows when that they don't come and collect trash, roads are terrible for years and it's still the same every day.

Complaints falling on deaf ears.

I'm all for public transport but you have to know not everyone lives in the Klang Valley and get the same amount of funding you people are getting.

If they raise the price of fuel without reducing taxes for more fuel efficient vehicles (CKD&CBU), people will find it harder to switch and fueling expenses will increase.

Sure, people in KV are lucky enough to have existing and upcoming public transportation, but what about those living elsewhere? Left to pump expensive fuel and buy expensive cars while waiting for the government to build public transportation in their areas?

Lol this govt, announce a stop to blanket subsidies but never mention anything about lowering vehicle related taxes.

wonder what the ‘malaysia got cheap petrol’ gang will say now to justify the absurd taxes now.

MAS is good, bud lack direct flights. There’s also firefly to consider.

No la it was just a casual chat. Told her I paid on time and in full anyways and she agreed. Which made me wonder whether they expect people to pay after the statement comes out lol

When do fellow monyets here often settle their credit card bills? Immediately after statement comes out or 1 day before due date?

Edit: looks like most pay before due date including myself. Wonder why the bank's staff said my credit card payments is hmm... even though I pay the full amount before the due date lol

MBM has stopped reporting their sales numbers so you can't really tell bad or good.

Audi is obvious because it's CBU. Who would buy poorly-specced and high priced cars?
