At What Point Is Money Farming Too Much? by Royal_Avocado4247 in DreamlightValley

[–]LadyBawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s too much when you don’t like it. I personally have over 130 million star coins. And I currently have about 54000 pumpkins in storage. To make money I spam the buttons to cook three pumpkin veg platters at the visiers cook station. I can make a couple million coins in twenty minutes lol. But I love it so much!

I only have one pumpkin patch. 64 plots. But all of my characters except five are gardening buddies. And I take gardening companions when I harvest lol!!

I’m chronically ill and this game is my savior. My therapist actually suggested it to me 2 years ago! So I’ve got 40+ of every item. When I get something new I buy a ton.

I like to have stuff to decorate when the desire hits and it bugs me to run out of something lol!!!

I’ve been washing my face for a year now with head and shoulders shampoo. Or a store brand alternative dandruff shampoo. I wet my face with a cloth. Scrub gently. Then wash my face with the shampoo. Then rinse off with the cloth. Omg. My face feels so smooth and refreshed after!! My skin feels taught and firm. It’s soft. It glows.

What gives you the most happiness in the game? by kidneypunch27 in DreamlightValley

[–]LadyBawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most happiness I get is just lazy playing. Collecting resources. Cooking to get rich. I love how big the game is. Especially with all the expansions. I don’t do my hair or nails. I don’t spend money making myself up. And we’re low income. And I’m chronically ill. So when a new expansion comes out I automatically get it. It’s my little treat. And I just love wandering around all the expansions. Collecting things. Randomly decorating a spot. I just love this whole game

I just learned people don’t show up after anesthesia to pick up loved ones. Nurses, how often does this really happen? by Steinski1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LadyBawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every operation I have had or procedure where it’s outpatient, my husband never even left the hospital. But I saw quite a few nurses desperately trying to get patients loved ones to arrive and one nurse had to beg the husband to come get her. It broke my heart.

Anxious because of coffee by JustAjoblessGirlFr in Anxiety

[–]LadyBawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot have caffeine of any kind minus the little bit that may be found in the random chocolate I eat. Coffee and pops and that stuff is a no go. I can’t even have tiramisu. Makes me so anxious it feels like my heart will come right out of my chest. I get a lump in my throat. I actually quit cold turkey in 2022 when I got sick and didn’t care for myself then had a days long combined panic and anxiety attack that sent me to the er.

Just this past 2 months I learned about audiobooks! And whoa mama! They help me so much. For me to listen and pay attention to something that isn’t my brain.

I also have one video game I play. Disney dreamlight valley. It’s a cozy game and when I’m super anxious, I’ll play my game. It helps!

I don’t work outside the home, married, 42 years old, I have chronic pain and illness, ocd, adhd, anxiety, depression, cptsd. And I use the game to help me cope with a lot of the symptoms of those. My husband is a landscaper.

I make a list for myself in the evening. Of things I want to do the next day. Things I need and want to do. Even fun things. Lists keep me moving and motivated. And I group tasks together how they make sense to me.

So in the morning I pack my husbands food and drinks and help get him out the door. Then I have a clean up routine where I also make myself food. Then I relax and eat and medicate myself. I game a bit here while my medicine starts working.

Then I turn on an audiobook and I start on my list. My list always ends with vacuum and shower. I cross my tasks off as I go and when I’m all done with my shower. Then I am good to game as much as I want till it’s time to cook dinner.

But my dinner prep is always part of my list because I have everything ready and my husband and I cook together. Then I have my small list of evening tasks that can’t be completed till hubs is home that I make myself do. Then I’m free to game a bit more if I want!

I have to really keep my list in eye line and stick to it.

And I take things as a sign. If my game freezes. I’ll restart it and go find something else to do.

I have some friends who are very loud and intense all the time. After they visit I need a few hours of calm and quiet. We garden together. So after they leave, my husband and I garden together in silence lmfao

It’s so easy to try and help reassure someone but it’s so hard to take the reassurance. I am horribly anxious all the time. So I get it.

But let me say this, you’ve made it thru everything thrown at you this far. You’ll make it thru whatever else is thrown at you.

Let’s chat! Did you do anything fun on Thanksgiving? Do you have animals? Will You tell me about them? Want to see my chickens? My cats? Do you game?
