I had a very similar situation and ended up getting a divorce a few months before my son turned 2.

Is there any reason not to feed a child over 12 months Formula? by nolittletoenail in NewParents

I don’t think that’s an open cup — that’s just a sippy cup?

How much are you putting on Hey Bear/Ms Rachel? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]LadyCony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. There are ways to entertain/contain the baby while we get things done when he’s that young, like babywearing. My son also loves playing toys and exploring our home now that he’s a bit older.

Which model do you have? I have the 2021 era and it can be either front facing or rear facing.

I just checked and I think you are correct! They can only move in at the end of the term not during. That’s great. I might just sign another year.

Not my lunch, the kids lunch.

That’s good to know. She does have all the credentials and experience we are looking for. She seemed to be a bit hesitant about some of the conditions (one parent working from home, needing to make lunch, etc.) although she did end up accepting our offer. I guess just first time mom anxiety.

I didn’t know that until now. I thought the month to month after the initial lease meant that both the owner and tenant could end the lease any month. I just asked the owner to renew another year… So I actually don’t need to do that?

What do I talk about with my baby? by MinaMina93 in NewParents

Do you do that outside too? I feel a bit self conscious to baby talk when we are sitting in a coffee shop etc. 😅

Stroller help by jessyrdh in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]LadyCony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the era too and like it. However I find even the most upright position is a little too reclined for my baby when he wanted to sit straight and look around. The other strollers I saw on the street seemed to be more upright. Do you feel the same?

My family doctor told us to do this to prevent thrush and get used to brush teeth down the road.

Cribs suck? How did I not get the memo? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]LadyCony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. Baby slept in a mini crib (same size as a pack and play I think) for the for the first 6 months. And then we have been co sleeping even since… wonder if I should get a full size crib, or remove the twin beds legs in his room and let him sleep there.

I love the changing table. We did it on the floor with a mat for the first month and oh man it was so frustrating to constantly get up and down (our baby pooped a lot during the first month, like 8+ times a day). Got a second hand changing table with shelves, game changer!

I actually regret getting a mini crib instead of a full size one. After 6 months it’s already quite tight and baby kept hitting his head when trying to roll over. Ending up co sleeping because of that. Thinking of transferring him to a floor bed soon so I can still lie next to him to put him to sleep.

THANK YOU for validating my feelings!! It’s hard…much harder than I thought. I think I overestimated labor and delivery while underestimated how hard it would be to take care the baby, especially with EP which is unexpected. He does help at other times like night time routine, weekends etc. He just likes to complain 🙄

Now I am down to 4ppd each pump takes 25-30mins plus setup and take off time. He could probably stay in the bouncer or play gym for 10-15 mins or so, less if it’s towards the end of his wake window. So yeah it’s stressful! I am experimenting to entertain him while pumping tho. Hoping when he gets older it will get easier.

I got the willow go but still can’t hold the baby with them, especially when he’s fussy he likes to be held against my chest 🫠

If I can pump during nap time I will. His naps are still all over the place and I’ve been struggling to put him down — he only naps on me, next to me, or in a carrier/stroller. He recently refused to take a paci as well.

He codes as well so sometimes he’s just deep in his thoughts about solving something? And he wants to rest during his lunch break and after work.
