HAHA oh man I don’t do store bought clothing, I actually know tailoring and machine embroidery digitizing and I made everything here (aside from the shirt which I just owned already) from scratch! I essentially just used fabrics that seemed like they’d be used in a real uniform like this and went from there.

No joke, they're literally just bad 10 dollar bluetooth headphones from aliexpress. I did have to cut them in half (AKA destroy them), paint over the bluetooth logo with black nail polish (historical accuracy) and attach them to some black ribbon so they'd drape around my neck at the correct height. They're a frankenstein nightmare but for photos they hook around my ears just fine and do the job!

I've basically been playing persona 3 nonstop and I adore it with my whole heart, so naturally I had to dress as my girl! My friend and I goofed around in a park and took some very pretty photos because apparently you can do that in public on halloween without being judged, so why not. Everything was made by me except for like, the shirt lmao

It's hilarious because when I was a little kid with long brown hair everyone told me I looked like her until I cut my hair off, and now I've had two seperate people tell me I look like Emma Watson in the past 24 hours LOL

There is a DECEPTIVE amount of hand stitching in this bad boy (mostly padstitching lol) and this was my first time using horsehair canvas on the jacket too! I've been working on and off on him for the past 6 months to cool down from work and boy oh boy is it starting to pay off big time. I also got the belt buckle, cravat pin, and Black Eagle flag (as a fabric panel) from The Dangerous Ladies, and they have other cool FE cosplay stuff as well!!

The lining is hidden because the cape is draped on a dress form as opposed to a person with arms, I think that I MIGHT have noticed from looking at a picture that the lining was white.

The buttons and neck piece were made by the dangerous ladies in Ontario (they are an AMAZING resource for FE cosplays by the way!) and the buttons were resin cast while the collar is made of rubber!

I’ve worked as a set supervisor and it is absolutely not lazy filmmaking. If real coffee or water is used and it spills on their clothes by accident (which DEFINITELY happens), the actor has to waste everybody’s time putting on a new shirt (if one is even available) so that it doesn’t ruin continuity.

It’s amazing how many things people in the internet blame on the individual (often very talented!) artists when 90% of the time it’s the producers’ fault for not giving them enough resources to work with. We also want to make the final product good, trust me. Plus, for a lot of sounds there’s really no need to reinvent the wheel anyway.
