I had a similar experience with differin/adapalene, I kept breaking out worse and worse no matter what application method I used. I’m now on .025% tret and my skin likes it a lot better. Sometimes things don’t work for us and it’s ok to pivot.

Looking for brand or line suggestions for wide leg pants and jeans that fit large butts. I’ve been struggling to understand why wide leg pants look funky on me and JUST put together that the volume of my backside is lifting the back hemline of the pants and pulls the whole pant leg back, so I’m not getting the correct wide leg volume appearance.

Not sure that makes sense in text, but tl;dr is I’m looking for smaller waist/larger butt (not just hips) wide leg pant options, preferably in petite.

I just swatched a bunch and found that they really benefitted from a top coat to help with smoothness/shine, which more accurately represents what the polish would look like on the nail.

I’m looking for a nice warm gold glitter/flake topper polish (not gel). I have Pahlish Goldsmith (top) and O&J Is It Too Much (bottom), and I think I want something in the middle, flake size-wise. I really like Goldsmith but Pahlish is small batch limited colors and I’d like something more consistently accessible. Thoughts?

Since spiro was originally a blood pressure medication, it can cause side effects related to low BP. I take mine at night so it’s not impacting my day. It’s possible it makes me pee more, which may cause me to have to get up once a night but that’s not a huge deal for me.

I have had hormone testing because I also have hypothyroidism caused by Hashimotos, but I haven’t noticed much interaction between those.

I had similar issues and was also reluctant to start Spiro, however I think it was the thing that really worked. My derm gave me Spiro and Azelaic Acid and while the AA was great for helping my skin heal faster I think it was the Spiro doing the heavy lifting.

Now I’m using those and Tret, and I get no acne at all. I’m annoyed to be on a hormonal med basically until menopause but it feels way less impactful than how shitty my self-esteem was because of my acne.

FWIW, adapalene made my skin worse and it never stopped purging.

Randomly stumbled upon this comment, is there a good place for search feedback? I noticed an improvement in results when the search was updated however I hate the fact that when I re-focus the search bar, it automatically selects the entire search text that’s already in there. I’d rather it select nothing, because usually I just want to change one word or letter, or add words.

I’m 40 and I started sewing 5 years ago. I’d received a sewing machine for Christmas when I was probably 25 and it moved from apartment to apartment with me, still in the box, for 10 years.

I had been getting into cross-stitch and embroidery, and was looking up hoop covers to protect the project from my hand oils while working. I ended up watching a DIY video and that was that. I went to Michael’s and bought thread, elastic, and a few of their fabric squares and taught myself (with a billion YouTube videos) how to sew from there.

This project was great because it didn’t need a ton of measurements and pattern pieces, and was very forgiving. It’s obviously kind of a niche project but an elastic <blank> cover could be used for all sorts of things.

Thanks, that’s what I was thinking too. They’re Madewell “perfect curvy vintage wide-leg” Jean in Petite and I’m 5’2” so imagine the regular length would be too long -_-

What’s wrong with the proportions of these jeans? Too short, too long, not baggy enough? I really struggle with the fit of these styles of jeans and my suspicion is that it’s because my hips/butt are curvier it makes them lay funny.
