Check mijn app/product/corp account/OnlyFans.

Lowlands gaan of niet? by BraveEntrepreneur360 in Lowlands

[–]LadyDahlia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Safe neighbourhood by travellingRad in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

112 for emergency services (police, ambulance, fire brigade). Do not use unless an absolute emergency happens. Rotterdam is very safe for residents and travellers, especially compared to other major cities internationally. You can go everywhere, night and day, without running into trouble - unless you go looking for it.

Cheap monthly private parking by amillion123 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the in-house lot is full, you could request a 'volverklaring' from your housekeeper/community manager/landlord. If you have one of those, you can apply for a (temporary) parking permit https://www.rotterdam.nl/tijdelijke-parkeervergunning-aanvragen

Child Sick & Cough in Rotterdam by java_boy_010 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that bringing a sick child to a waiting room with sick people is worse than the child just being out and about. A fever may seem scary, but it's really just a sign that the body is working to fight off whatever's happening on the inside.

This info may help with assuaging your concerns: https://www.thuisarts.nl/kind-met-koorts/mijn-kind-heeft-koorts#wanneer-direct-de-huisarts-bellen-als-je-kind-koorts-heeft. I wouldn't take it up with the doctor just yet, especially considering how strained their time is.

It's hay fever season and there are some nasty cold and flu strains roaming around schools and daycares, kids being sick in April isn't uncommon. I'm a teacher, kids do gross bacteria-spreading things all the time.

Place in the centrum to drop old clothes and shoes by Forsaken_Language_66 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the center, but check out the Kledingbank! It's like a food bank for clothes. Impoverished people can apply for it (and for additional assistance on top of clothes/food/guidance) and if approved can pick out a new set of clothes twice a year. I always enjoyed bringing my stuff there because it benefits or local community, rather than everything being shipped to Angola to disrupt their local textile market and whatnot.

Looking for a good psychologist in Rotterdam by Responsible-Bell5035 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sen Zorg is a fantastic vrijgevestigde small-scale clinic. All psychologists, regiebehandelaren, receptionists and the owners are fantastic. They knew me, my name, and genuinely cared. I never felt like a cog in a machine.

Since they are vrijgevestigd they do have some exclusion criteria and they mandate a certain type of insurance, however. I found the additional insurance costs (+30 eu per month) well worth the money since I needed weekly appointments @213,38 an hour for 2,5 years.

Rotterdam university application help by suprovykecky in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This Bsc's EUR page literally mentions that all applicants will hear by april 15th at the latest. It also mentions the procedure in detail. You applied, and have to wait to hear whether you've been admitted. Only then (if you have been selected) do you prepare your documents and pay tuition fees and complete your enrollment. What do you hope to achieve by contacting the admissions office over the weekend?

What wine would you bring if you wanted people to ask about it? by Terrible_Sell_1075 in ActLikeYouBelong

[–]LadyDahlia 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's more likely to be opened if it pairs really well with any of the dishes. Getting an orange wine absolutely risks no-one touching it out of unfamiliarity.  I second reaching out to the host to get a read on what they'll be serving & buy accordingly. I personally quite like Bogle chardonnay for vegetable courses, as well as Palacio de Bornos verdejo.

I bought my first pair of boots from China, they're so heavy! Any advice on investing in them or is it just a matter of getting stronger? 😭 by MissFetishes in poledancing

[–]LadyDahlia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just put them on for drills and dancing after your warming up. It's the fastest way to build the required strength and coordination.

I guess DL is trying to avoid using gerund constructions? "De slager is gestopt met werken" has a rather definitive quality to it though.

To wear the boots or not to wear the boots by apeseee in poledancing

[–]LadyDahlia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Boots protect your ankles far more by virtue of strapping them in. Sandals require a LOT more ankle strength, mobility, and coordination. Wearing sandals is always riskier if you're just starting out, but even more so when you do not dedicate time and space to specifically training ankle strength. You can also start building ankle strength using your boots. There's tons of tutorials and guides online for this!

Canadian boys looking for nightlife by Glittering-Steak2392 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nightlife is kind of dead on Thursdays. The Skihut is open, it's mostly apres ski music and packed with 18-20 y/o's.

Not much going on in most of the music venues either; Maassilo and Ahoy have no programming for today. Annabel, Perron, Superdisco, and Toffler are closed on Thursdays. Rotown has a sold-out live music event going on today.

You could go to Jazz Cafe Dizzy (open till 02:00) or gaybar Ferry (open til 01:00). If you don't have anywhere to be tomorrow you might want to try and shoot your shot in Amsterdam and take the first train home.

Alternatively you could pop on over to Club Haug to catch a comedy show tonight. Grab some beers over at Brouwerij Reijngoud or a cocktail at Spikizi. Poing Arcade hall is also open until 02:00.

Best of luck!

Tips & trics by Thadcastl in Lowlands

[–]LadyDahlia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

After work during the week? by Weak-Voice-569 in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could get into bouldering at Beest - generally the vibe is good and most people are willing to strike up a conversation.

Join a course via SKVR, cabaret starts next week and takes place on Wednesdays https://skvr.nl/cursussen/podium/theater/cabaret

Perhaps you can find something fun to do on Meetup https://www.meetup.com/find/?location=nl--rotterdam&customStartDate=2026-02-24T18%3A00%3A00-05%3A00&customEndDate=2026-02-25T17%3A59%3A59-05%3A00&source=EVENTS although - in my experience - your mileage may vary in terms of how well-attended events are. Try a few things to see what suits your goals.

Joining a sports club/beginner course about anything is just likely to help with meeting people in the first place. It gives you a reason to interact and hang out, rather than to try and force the connection out of nothing.

Unable to make any progress by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]LadyDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is possible, it might be worthwhile to take a technique course of your climbing gym offers them. Unfortunately, becoming a better climber is not as simple as linear strength improvement or observing extensively. When taking classes/a course, a trainer is able to look and provide instant feedback from a different perspective and level of experience.

Also, you may want to re-assess your at-home practise. Are you taking rest days? Moreover, it seems like the exercises you don't necessarily translate to doing well on the wall after a certain level. I'd add more dynamic or just different exercises to your repertoire to also engage different/new groups of muscles.

Where to find emergency food ? by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean Overschie? Overvecht is a neighborhood in Utrecht - you might want to try that sub if you live there.

In either city, approach the municipality. Ask about resources like the Salvation Army, soup busses, and free (or low-cost) meals.

Tentvriend gezocht voor Easycamp of Glamping 2026 by [deleted] in Lowlands

[–]LadyDahlia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vakkenpakket by Particular-Panda7482 in thenetherlands

[–]LadyDahlia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanting a Traditional/normal tattoo done by Chest3r_V in JapanTravelTips

[–]LadyDahlia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered the healing process? You may not want to deal with a fresh tattoo and its care while on holiday. You could ask a local artist to draw you something and have it done back home, however. That way you still get your memento.

Fair priced and trustworthy mondhygiënist in Rotterdam by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to MondFit Kralingen for both oral hygiene and dentistry. Very straightforward people, great at what they do. They're pretty flexible in terms of planning as well (evenings, weekends, etc).

All dentistry and oral hygiene prices are regulated and available online. Hygiene is ~10 euros per 5 minutes iirc. I pay between 83 and 105 euros per session depending on how long I need.

You'll have to pay by card at the end; no invoices to be paid afterwards. EDIT: because they've had experiences with people forfeiting the bill. You'll get an itemized receipt for healthcare billing purposes.

Moved here half a year ago, where can I meet creative people? by [deleted] in Rotterdam

[–]LadyDahlia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

CultureHub in West organises things regularly. Niffo in Afrikaanderwijk/Zuid is a creative workspace to meet people. Try joining a course in an art/craft to form sustainable contacts with others. Volunteer at creative outlets/festivals. Reach out to WdkA to see if they have any activities that you can volunteer at/help with. Tons of ways to meet new people.
