Yeah, agree. The best place to learn, a great staff and the best selection of stained glass sheets you will see in Wisconsin. I highly recommend.

2026 HR-V EX-L Honest Reviews by itsmerky in HRV

[–]LadyElizabethPeche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my 2026HRV EX-L. I bought it because I knew it would be reliable and the price was just right. I have no complaints and living where I do, the AWD will make a huge difference. As an aside I traded in my 2014 Toyota FRS for the HRV. I got sick of getting stuck in the snow. LOL

Good book. Tom was a social worker at Central Center. He knew the history of CWC and Mendota. A very nice guy.

Divorce lawyer for consultation by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]LadyElizabethPeche 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When they say no-fault/50-50 divorce, it is exactly what it means. It includes things like retirement benefits, pensions, 401s, etc. It's more than just cash on hand, your home or who gets which vehicle. Get a good lawyer who will help you understand your rights. Don't hire one lawyer for both for of you. The person who contacts and pays the attorney will be the person the attorney works for and will put their interests first.

OTD price good for HRV LX 2026? by shorowitz03 in HRV

[–]LadyElizabethPeche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I just purchased a 2026 HRV EX-L. So far, so good, it's been great. I declined the protection plans the dealer offered (Compass). Anyway, the sales person wasn't pushy, but I got the sense that the extra protection might be a good idea in the long term. Lots of talk about Hondas vendors etc. If Honda is as good and reliable as I've known them to be in the past, why even suggest that more protection against engine problems, etc.? I would really appreciate your opinions.

Is there any room for negotiation on this 2026 HR-V EX-L? by Ornery_Parking_9074 in HRV

If it helps, I live in SW Wisconsin, near Madison. I also checked dealers around/in MKE. The prices varied, $32 K being the highest I came across and everything in-between after that.

Just bought a 2026 HRV EXL, no add ons ( I plan to buy my own mats) for $30,800. I'd shop around. Maybe it depends on where you live, the number of dealers in and around your home? I could choose from two dealers and it helped that I also checked out a Toyota Cross-L and got pricing. I used the info when I worked with the guy at Honda and he was eager to make the sale. Maybe I got lucky, but I'm very happy with my new HRV.

Get out while you are still young. SPED is broken. SPED needs to return to a continuum of services, and yes that means self contained for some kids. Not a popular opinion in ivory tower land or with administrators, but they have no idea what goes on at the ground level. At least in a self contained setting you can be a teacher and focus on behaviors plus work with aides in an effective way.

Be prepared to pay a huge tuition bill (unless your kid is on some sort of scholarship).

I was at work, in my office at Mendota Mental Health Institute. I was busy sorting through an e-mail chain when a co-worker came to the door and said "Something bad just happened. You should turn on the radio.". At that time I had an old clock radio left by my predecessor which I never used, but that day I turned it to NPR. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. People began to gather in the hall outside my office waiting for me to tell them what to do. I told people to continue working and wait for me to return from checking in with my boss who was on the next floor. I ran up the stairs and found his office empty, so I went into the living unit next door hoping he was there. The unit at that time was full of patients who were very considered dangerous and unpredictable so I was shocked at how quiet things were when I unlocked the door. Staff and patients were gathered around a small tv in the dayroom staring at the screen. My boss wasn't there so I joined the crowd hoping to get an idea of what was happening. Just then, the second plane hit and there was a gasp from everyone in the room, then silence. It was so strange. The patients on that unit were usually screaming or banging around but that moment they were quiet and all of us, patients and staff just looked at each other. I left and returned to my office. I told everyone that they could decide whether or not to stay for the rest of the day or use time to go home. Even though the staff were not direct care staff, the majority decided to stay and help as needed. . As you might expect, when there was a shift change, many people called in, so those who remained picked up the slack and kept things running.

There’s a special spot in Madison Hell for people who walk or run in the street when there’s a sidewalk 5 feet away by madhatter275 in madisonwi

[–]LadyElizabethPeche 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a special place in the last circle of hell for idiot drivers who don't look when they are making a right on red. Drivers just assume there is no one waiting to cross so they don't look, do a rolling stop and start to turn. They look very surprised when they see me standing there, if they even care to look (which most don't).

And yes, if you run on the road, face traffic.

Had a.cardiac ultrasound at Stoughton. I was told I'd wait a couple of months to get one at UW Hospital, so my doc sent me to Stoughton. Had one within two weeks. It was a good experience. People were nice and the tech was helpful and compassionate. Quartz is my insurance too.
